I just noticed that the time it takes to make sugar items has changed probably with the latest update. As an example it now takes only 17 minutes to make brown sugar and it now takes 34 minutes to make white sugar in lue of 20 and 30. Wonder if their are other changes and what is the reasoning or have I just misread something's

That's odd. Mine are still 20 and 30 min respectively.

its cuz you achieved the 3rd star on the machine. The time it takes to produce the sugar item has decreased by 15% as a result

1hr16minutes for syrup. . Was 1 hr 30 minutes.

I haven't back-read much of this thread but concerning the new update with potatoes, etc. The candy machine is also making new products. Namely: Chocolate @ lvl 54 and Lollipop @ lvl 57

I'm only on level 54 so I don't have the stats for the lollipop but for chocolate, you need 3 cocao, 1 white sugar, 3 cream. It'll take you 20 hr (yes, you read right, it's 20 HOURS).

also, did anyone notice that the new update also added "mastery" levels for the feed mills?

The items that are needed vary slightly.
For example I have also seen these combinations, just the ones I can remember quickly
Cream 7 a crate
Goat cheese 3 a crate
White sugar > 10 a crate (can't quite remember whether it was 11 or 12)
Carrot cake 2 a crate
Vanilla ice cream 2 a crate

I've had white sugar crates requiring 11 to fill.
