*Proof* of why snipers are damaging the economy

The thing is, snipers have existed since the beginning of the game, and back then there was no damage in the economy.

I'm not saying that snipers don't play a role at all in the rarity of bases with good loot, it's that there aren't the only ones and the main one to blame.

Whatever general facts we have on the current game economy, we're looking at the wrong ones.

Why is your th out in the open? Your complaining about snipers hurting the economy but you and others, including me have are TH's out in the open. So is it really the snipers fault or is it our fault for having it out in the open. I don't understand how you can complain about them hurting the economy while you have your th out in the open. It just doesn't make sense. If you feel that way about snipers then in my opinion your th should be protected.

Besides the reason he gave, even if he put his TH inside and I put my TH inside, would you put your TH inside? If all three of us put our THs inside, would anybody else? If every single forumer put their TH inside, would anyone else? Would not someone be tempted to do the sane thing and put their TH outside to benefit? As long as it is profitable to put your TH outside, this is going to be a problem no matter what individuals do. Some snarky individual called me a hypocrite in another thread for this, but it really is the system that needs to change rather than any individual.

Hmm that japchilling seems to have common sense, but I guess if you really believe that he lacks common sense you may be correct. Maybe because he wants to flame me so badly it may just skip his mind.

Great thread. People do not understand the problem. They want their loot protected even though it causes them to spend months of their lives clicking the next button to skip past bases with no loot.

I'm not posting my defense log, I checked and it would take 12 separate pictures. So anyone reading this can believe the following or not.

I have 30 attacks in my defense log. 22 of those attacks are snipes. My loot is almost always past cap unless I just had a builder free up. 73% of my attackers are snipers giving me a free shield so nobody can touch my loot for the next twelve hours.

How does this make you not weep for the loot that is now unavailable to you in cases like this

73%... that means when I log out, I'm pretty confident you're never going to see my loot.

Why would I want to risk my loot? Well, I don't. But if we got rid of TH shields then I have a shot at your loot as well. And the loot of millions of other clashers. It's a good trade-off.

But don't go around labeling anyone a hypocrite. This will only work if TH shields are gone. It truly does not matter whether one individual wants to martyr himself. Nobody would ever notice.

Totally understand where you are coming from.

But overall I would conclude snipers do more good to the economy than harm.

I really believe [or want to believe] the amount of bases with uncollected loot that get snipped, like the two examples here are a minority.

For every base that is sniped with little to no loot that is league bonus been injected into the economy - at ZERO expense to the victim in terms of loot loss and horrible trap re-arm costs.

Everytime I see a base with bad loot and an exposed hall I snipe it regardless of TH level and even when I'm 'dropping trophies', that way even a crappy loot base can put loot into the game. Surely I'm not the only one who does that.

I however do not snipe a strong TH9/TH10 base with good storage loot if I don't have the army to hit it...as sometimes I search without a full army - and always have at least 1 hero upgrading which restricts my storage raiding ability. I'll let someone else have a crack. Again, surely I'm not the only one who does that.

Get rid of the stupid shield for TH... problem solved... and it would add a fun new dynamic to the game even though the 8 billion farmers would be up in arms! Imagine that, actually having to protect your most valuable building for a change. Weird huh.

Hah, I know what your trying to say.

But been one who has held a few cups and wars a lot you would also know there are times you will get 1 star wins by getting into a core of a base - destroying a hall but falling short of 50%.

They legitimately lost and fully deserve a shield.

OP why make another one of those flame threads? How many more times do we need to discuss this dead horse?

You should maybe worry more about how you like to play the game not try and discredit others for ' playing it wrong' .... And most of all, you should probably put your own th IN? Ppl in glasshouses and all that?

This is not a flame thread. I am simply providing evidence of what happens in the game. If people choose to believe that this never happened that is fine.
