No.
I am saying that since your collectors never hit max, the economy was not effected, they continued to fill under a shield.
If you left your village alone for an extended period of time (above& beyond the time for collectors to fill) then you could actually see if people are sniping you while you have FULL collectors. This would show an actual effect on the economy since they would stop producing. The point that I believe you were originally trying to prove
And yes, I'll barch as low as 150/150k collectors

You really believe a person that has not logged in for 24 hours has abandoned his account? It was 24 hours. That is not the definition of an abandoned base. It was a decent collector raid sure. But it was not an abandoned base. I very much distinguish between a base that no one is going to log in and collect in the next week and one that gets logged in every day or two. The latter one is not abandoned and is not wasting loot as long as the person logs in before his collectors get completely full (as it appears you did with the exception of your DE drills). The former does indeed have wasted loot and should be raided which is why I think bases that have not logged in for a couple days should be at the top of the search queue.
Oh dang, you are one humble guy.
Personally, i would have sniped your base too. get those drills. and try to pick of a 50%, even tho im a th8. Its cuz i dont wanna share the loot.![]()
as for the economy, there are a million snipers and more than a million abandoned bases (someone get the numbers!) snipers are basically good guys, they take the TH, a few trophies, and left the loot for the next guy. pretty darn humble tykes, arent they?![]()
Snipers let me sleep, work and war. Without them I couldn't play... Ironic really.
I am rather unsure how exactly I was 'spamming' the thread as a picture of my clan was posted in this thread, and I provided a coherent and clear answer unlike your comment below. 'Garbage Sniping Club' that seems like rather incoherent spam to me. I provided a positive perspective on this thread. What exactly did you provide?
My Post:
This is an interesting thread. A picture of my clan was posted and I therefore feel obliged to comment.
I have been a fully-maxed TH7 Champion for 8 months and Savage Seven is my clan. I have no desire to upgrade this account as I have a near maxed TH10. Loot is not usually an issue for lower town halls who trophy push as my storages usually full and have very little to spend it on, apart from the gold required pressing 'Next'.
There have a been several negative comments pertaining to TH sniping, but the fact is that I spend very little time raiding with my TH7 account as it maintains itself (most defences are -1 to -3). Players leave their THs exposed for a reason - a cheap shield. As Adam Smith wrote, there is both Supply and Demand. There is a demand for both 'cheap shields' and ' free trophies'. There would not be TH Snipers in higher leagues if players did not want a cheap shield in the first instance.
Players also place several traps around their THs (as WiteLighteningHWD has emphasised in his latest videohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9tV2-s3vB0), and it can thus also (obviously mostly in lower leagues) be an attacking strategy.
Moreover, many Savage Seven members do not simply snipe (as illustrated by our YouTubewww.youtube.com/user/SavageSevenCOC) and utlise mass dragons to 50% a base. I actually prefer doing this rather than searching for hours for base to snipe. I did not use gems to get to Champion League 8 months ago, but I do have a method (as does Sparhawk, which he kindly posted in his pushing guide on this forum) and it does function without having to spend your entire life on Clash of Clans. I will gladly admit that I know utilise gems for shields and to boost barracks when needed to ensure that I always have 10 dragons in my barracks.
Please feel free to ask questions as I will endeavour to answer.

This thread is getting sidetracked.
Point is: Everyone with a full army is out for loot. Some prefer it easy - like the guys who sniped you. And others like me would raid you even if you are offering 200K. I believe (no facts to back this - but my own TH almost never gets sniped when I offer 400K+ loot, its a full raid all the time) most snipers would have taken your loot.
THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL SOMEONE CAN SKIP THAT MUCH LOOT, UNLESS HE JUST WANTS TO SNIPE AND MOVE ON. Also, most probably, those guys were focusing on trophies rather than loot.
My Suggestions:
Why should you max your collectors? Read here

Solution to deal with clan hoppers / donation leechers
If everyone kept their TH's in would that solve the problem? No. Because stealing from other people's storages does not create loot. Every time someone spends a large amount of elixir raiding the storages of another player the economy loses because transferring loot from one storage to another does not create new loot and the elixir used to make the army is gone forever.
As you say, people do not understand the problem. If I raid your full storages and you raid my full storages their is no gain for either of us, just the loss of nexting costs and army costs. People that keep promoting storage raiding as the answer clearly do not understand the problem.
The reason I do not weep for the loot that is now unavailable to me is because it was never my loot to begin with. It is your loot and you are more than capable of spending it yourself. If I look at a base and see that the collectors are less than half full I know I am dealing with an active player and there is no net economic benefit to raiding him. He will collect the loot from his collectors and spend the loot in his storages without my help. My attacking him would harm the economy overall because I would not be creating any extra loot (other than the league bonus) and would be losing the value of the elixir that made my army. If however I find a base to snipe I can create the same league bonus without wasting the elixir on an army. In your case you are helping the economy much more by putting your town hall out than in because we save all those army costs. If I raided your storages as well that would not benefit the economy at all. It would benefit me, but it would hurt you just as much, thereby creating no net gain.
Unless a base is truly abandoned (i.e. the collectors are completely full and thus are no longer creating new loot) there is no gain to the overall economy to doing anything more than just sniping the town hall for the league bonus. I appreciate you doing your part to help the economy by putting your town hall out. Enjoy your loot. You deserve to keep it for doing the right thing and keeping your town hall out.
