I am a TH7 and I say don't bring elixer wall upgrades back. It entirely upsets the economy of Clash of Clans. There is absolutely NO elixer available from raids because everyone uses elixer on walls... How are you supposed to get elixer if there isn't elixer! It therefore becomes impossible to upgrade troops in the lab, giving Clash of Clans a much lamer experience. Imagine if you were a new TH8 and you needed elixer for those Level 5 Archers. At TH8, you would be able to find absolutely no loot due to everyone using their elixer on walls.

Well keep in mind Supercell's official response the first time around (as well as Daddy's in here) was that "elixir for walls is the right move, is good for the game, and they're not going back on it" and then they did exactly that (partially) with the revert. So I wouldn't take the people at Supercell to hold the best judgment for things like this. You're better off trusting an economist, not a bunch of game developers, as that is exactly the type of area this update affects: an economic one.

I vote no!

Suggestions:
1. Practice the art of alchemy. That is, turn your excess elixir into gold! (...in case you didn't get it, I mean use your elixir to farm for gold. Spare no expense!)

2. Stick your town hall and all three elixir storages in a corner with a little white flag, to get a free shield and free trophies, and to take away the incentive for them to attack your base (and steal any gold or DE). Make sure the town hall is in the very corner, with the storages surrounding it, so that potential attackers can clearly see that you aren't hiding tesla towers or giant bombs by the TH. (You are less likely to get the shield if the TH looks like it could be trapped.)

3. Upgrade to TH9. Plenty of stuff to spend elixir on there, and when you run out of things to spend elixir on, you can spend it on walls!


Regarding point #2, if you don't feel comfortable giving away the elixir, remember two things:
1) You don't have anything to spend it on, so why do you care?
2) If the elixir is in the middle of your base, they will raid you and steal your gold and dark elixir, which you do care about. If it's in the corner with the town hall, they might still raid you, but it's less likely.

If they don't change it back where you can upgrade to lvl 6 walls with elixir and they still let the people upgrade their wall from 8 to 9 with elixir i will consenter that a total rip off and probably won't play any more if they aren't going to change it back then no one should be able to use the elixir to upgrade walls that would be fair

I disagree. Since Elixir has OTHER USES OTHER THAN WALLS!!!

So does gold you saying that is like saying if they changed how you upgraded your cannons or archer tower with dark elixir i mean you can use the gold for something else right ??
