Are Clan Wars Overused

In fact, they should have 2 wars simulteneously to compensate for preparation day.

I had not thought of that, but that is an even better solution. I had been focused on cutting the time for preparation day, but having two wars going on simultaneously would allow for a full prep day while still having war every day. That is a great idea.

it's called Clash of Clans.. lol. just based on the name, CW is the main thing. So I voted no, it isn't overused.

it's only 2 attacks every 2 days... and I think of it as a resource storage when I win (ie. the loot you gain is in this "nowhere" zone until the war ends)

Of course, i think a lot of people who benefit from CW are the ones who do not donate to the CW CCs. The dragons/wiz/dark troops that I donate + the 2 attacks I use accumulates to approximately 1 mil gold/elixir with minimal DE. So.. for me to profit, I'd need to get 1mil+ on 2 attacks.. which is very rare. therefore.. I'm lucky if I break even.

CW is not really for resource for people who take it seriously, it's more pride having completed those 2 achievements (imo, the two toughest ones). And like I said, the 800k-1mil is in this "nowhere" zone until war ends, so it does make it easier for me to save up for those expensive TH 10 upgrades.

So, when the clan war update was 1st released I loved them. I loved the excitement and anticipation of war. However slowly I've found that this excitement has evaporated and clan wars no longer produce the enjoyment they did when first released. I don't know how people in 24/7 war clans can stand it. I believe that clan wars should be used once a week to assure that you look forward to them rather than dreading the date that the next war comes along.


So my question is this; Do you think clan wars should be used once a week as something to look forward to or do you enjoy warring all day everyday? And are clan wars overused or do you still get the excitement you always have out of them?

I'm not saying that clan wars are completely boring. I still love doing them once a week, I just don't find warring every day fun...

2 attacks a day add up when you think about it. If you war every day that's 2 extra attacks a day. Say your War army costs 150-200k elixir. That's an extra 400k of resources for the day. I could think of many other things to spend those resources on other than troops for a war army

I was never suggesting SuperCell allow wars once a week, was just asking if everyone preferred to war once a week or all the time.

Thank you for letting us all know you only want to war once a week and have told us why...like ppl dont already know that 2 war attacks every 2 days "could" be used to farm instead...but most ppl out there dont want to farm 24/7 (boring as bat sheet)
The thread was good to see what ppl like to do. But u dont need to try and convince us with reasons why we should war once a week lol everyone is different...i have lost the fun in wars and dont do it any more as im over getting terrible "match ups" that ruin the fun in wars...if it wasnt for that frustrating part i would war all day everyday.
Make sure in your next thread you ask if ppl like cats or dogs!

This is entirely personal preference, but I just got in forum chatters and we're doing back-to-back wars, and I'm still farming 2-5 mil a day with sparse raidin, plus the war bonus.

We were doing 1 war a week and have recently changed to 2 wars a week as we were all enjoying them so much.

I find they do not effect farming at all. I cook one army overnight, to then attack when I wake up and then cook one army whilst I was at work to attack when I get home from work. easy.

ClanWars are a pain for the premmie THs (usually th8~9) due to distraction they caused in their farming sessions, much more if the clan seldom win.

Agreed, they're extremely repetitive and almost always a mismatch.
