Defense Upgrading!

We all know that defences are disabled when they are being upgraded.
I think there should be an option so that the builders can take longer time to upgrade without disabling it. It will be helpful when protecting resources or you have only one air defence. Not only for defences, but also for barracks or spell factory!!
Upgrading spell factory is such a head ache. So what do you think guys?

I'd like it, it would be a fairer system. I'm not really sure why defences don't attack if you're upgrading them atm, I don't really see the point in SC doing that. And I agree with you on the spell factory too.
However, SC made the system how it is for a reason, and I don't think they'll change that any time soon.

You can't drive a car while it's being repaired/built, same idea. It's not really practical.

I agree with the OP though, it would make for fairer gameplay.

The Spell Factory on the other hand, I have no idea why you can't use spells and create them while it's upgrading... that makes no sense.

Your first comment uses one type of logic, and then your second one uses the opposite logic.
And standing on a platform and shooting arrows while people are reinforcing the structure around it is a little different from people being to repair something while it's moving at 60 MPH.
