You're focusing on the wrong thing here...........What you need to look at isn't how much you lose to TH 9s and how well they do against your base, but how often it happens. Sure, a TH 9 with max troops, 4 spells, both heroes, and skills will 3-star your base and take your loot, but that almost never happens. If it does, you're either very unlucky or have a non-farming base.

If you don't have a farming base, get one; you'll get sniped so often that the occasional 3-star is nothing more than a slight delay. If you do have a farming base, either it's weak, which tempts people to attack it, or you're just unlucky. That's pretty much all there is to it.

    Raid more

As TH8, I always estimated how much my available loot was against maxed TH9s. In a session, I would raid 6 times more than that (1.8 million gold elix, 6-10k DE) and sleep easy.

To survive at TH8, just raid 10-20 times a day and you won't feel the occasional TH9 attack.

Another thing you could do is look at your attack logs versus your defense logs. Your defense logs are definitely no way more than a quarter of how much you take.

    Talking

Im actually a TH 8 right now and i have no problems saving up for upgrades. if anything im kinda sitting to loot cos my all my builders are upgrading stuff lol. Due to the fact that a do hav a farming base (resource storage close to center and def structures around them). my TH is either at the edge of map or next to a wall with a decent amount of def buildings. Oh and i lowered my trophies to like 1k so all i really get attacking me are TH 7 and below. occasional TH 9 attack but they are usually using just barbs and archers. Dnt complain, just adjust and play the game.

Also i posted an idea bout a new kind of trap a couple days ago. Come check it out and tell me what you guys think. Just advance search my name (oninohanzo) TY and Clash On!!!!!

And I am TH9 and still hit TH7's and take 200k+ of each (which should be 300k of each for a TH8) off of them, so maybe you need to pick your attacks better. My grandfather used to say it is easier to blame with your finger then it is to blame with your thumb. Think about that one....
It's not that I don't raid more than once each day, but in order to play the game it shouldn't be required to spend over an hour every time you want to attack in order to get gains like a supposed "Real Clasher"

And your comment about raiding 300k off th8 and 200k off th7 as a th9 just goes to further prove my point. Th9 are way overpowered in comparison.

All you idiots talking about how my opinion will change when I'm th9 and need the loot are obviously illiterate as I've addressed clearly that I have no problem with the idea of being a th9 and only looting 200k off of th8 because it's more than enough to cover the losses you most likely receive. It doesn't ruin looting for th9 just to lower the amount of super easy loot available.

I've always had a farming base and my base is commonly used as a solid th8 farming base. The unlucky factor is probably a big part of it, but the amount available to loot is also a bit unreasonable.

My biggest point about this problem is it ruins the game for people who don't have hours set apart to play the game and raid 10-20 times a day. I personally do very well raiding and do usually make enough to get upgrades done but only on weekends where I have some free time to play for 2-3 hours. A lot of people don't.

Also it would make the game much more enjoyable for th8's and lower to be able to go attack on a 30 min lunch break without losing 200-300k from any th9 that decides to attack after they just made 200k.

The bottom line here is that the problem isn't the base, or how much raiding the person does. It's that the amount available to be raided is too high for the easy picking of a th9 with such massive increase an arch queen and extra spell provide.

    No.

The loot penalty is bad enough as it is. No need to make it worse.
