Should I Rush to Town Hall 9? (With Pictures)

Hey guys. I've been farming lately and I really want to get xbows. I'm sitting here with 3mil gold at the moment which is enough to upgrade my TH to 9. I was thinking of rushing to TH 9. The extra walls, AD, WT, XB, and AQ would help me catch up with my defenses. I think my defenses are high enough to handle town hall 9... What do y'all think?

Do the teslas first. Those are beast at level 6.

Max you defenses first . . .
Your troops also need some upgrading.

I'd say try to max your Wizard towers first, then move up. Other than WT, everything else is stronger than me when I moved up and I have no problems In the mean time, try to get loons to lvl5 so that they can go to lvl6 in TH9

Do whatever you want.
I maxed defense but left a few troops to upgrade.

What do you normally do? farm or war?

I war a lot so my war troops were maxed before going up (hogs, golems, loons, wizards)

But if you're just a pure farmer, do whatever you want man.
Keep the game interesting for you.

TH9 is a blast for me so far. Lots to upgrade.

Given you don't have much elixir I'm assuming you still have some elixir jobs?

Personally I would stay at TH8 until you at least finish your elixir jobs. Once elixir overflows is when you should more seriously consider the move.

If it keeps it interesting, go to TH9

If you really want to go long term in this game, I would stay and max EVERYTHING! It's a long grind, trust me, I've been there. But if you want to just casually play, go for it.

I pretty much had your base when i rushed to th9. Main difference is I had half skulls done. Get at least half of your walls to skulls and then upgrade. Even as a rushed th9 I never get three starred, and rarely ever get 2 starred. Get a good base design once you hit th9.

If you hit th9 with your current base you will bring lots of attacks onto yourself. This is why working on skull walls will deter some attacks.

Th8 isn't essential to max. Id do the elixir upgrades though before you upgrade. Th9 is when you need to start maxing your town hall, of course not including walls unless you want to do go up inefficiently. Do walls while upgrading your other defences.
