Few players expect that they could be banned form the game for foul language (there's no real consequence in global) and even less expect that cleaning the description is mandatory to avoid bans.
It's easy for a dissatisfied coleader to change the clan description, screen shot, report, and run away safely

Just curious, do you have multiple accounts on one device?
Sound like I'm this is an ongoing problem with supercell. I hope that the admins will realize that treating paying customers like this is ♥♥.. I wish I had the time to start a boycott, but as I'm an adult with a real job, I do not have that kind of time.. Shame on you supercell for banning paying players without giving a reason, and in the middle of a war at that.. May your game get buggy, and everyone see your true colors..
There are those but there's also the point that the punishment should fit the crime (which innocent leaders committed 0 crime+there's no real ban in global so why in clans?) and that a standard behavior does not include constantly policing the description for rogue/overly excited leaders

No one was talking about forcing someone to be leader. I was talking about whether it deserves a ban. Even if it's optional, that doesn't mean that they should accept any sort of punishment that can fall their way, especially since people don't typically get banned based on others' action.
The comment about avoiding global also avoids the point that people only get a minor chat ban for harassment they personally conducted there so why should people expect to be actually banned for harassment that they didn't do?

That still really isn't the point.
Let's say I am co in Clan X. For whatever reason, I am unable to play CoC for two days. During those two days my clan had a war and. during that way, another co changed the description to something inappropriate. The leader noticed this change about 15 minutes later, changed it back and admonished the offending co. However, during those 15 minutes the opposing clan took a screenie of the description and reported it to SC.
Now, I don't know that any of this is going on. I have been gone for two days. I finally get a chance to log on and see how things are going. Just prior to me logging on, whatever robot that reviews the reports finally takes action against our clan and bans all of our leadership. So, when I go to long on I am greeted with this:
So, is my banning warranted? Did I do anything wrong? Was there any way possible for me to fix this situation before action was taken?
The point is, banning all of the clan leadership for one persons behavior is crazy and there really is no reason for it.
Now I'm going to hear you say, 'Select more appropriate co's'...
