Splash Damage

what is the point of splash damage if most troops dont use it?
The valkyrie uses it? What about everything else? Why dont troops use their splash?
They should.
I even have an idea to balance this out (a bit). And that is maybe to make cc troops stay in cc range, as splash damage is usually used to take them out. Make their defense AI like the heroes.
I'm not crazy... Right?

Have you ever seen a wizard kill 20 archers in one hit?
Or a Valkyrie kill 5 wizards in one hit?
Or a balloon destroy the Town Hall as it goes around destroying defenses?
Or a healer healing her troops?

I guess not or this would never have come up.

Or a mortar hitting BK and AQ ?
Or inferno tower on multi-target killing BK and AQ?

I have had loons drop bombs and take out multiple buildings at once. even when they are shot down they do splash damage.

To your second point I have used wb's to break through up to 3 layers of walls placed together. Clearly their splash damage works great.

I've seen a wizard kill 20 archers! They were my cc archers
A healer healing troops? Yeh.
Don't Valkyries do that?
A balloon destroying th...balloons attack defences

hang on a minute. Wizard splash damage doesn't mean killing two defences. That's the valks speciality. Wizards attack two or more TROOPS at once

Defenses use splash well.
They use it just as well as troops

Splash of troops (wiz and dragon particularly) is very small.

Being as i am not the wiki, and only estimating, i think the splash covers less than 1 square.

So no, they cannot damage multiple buildings, and why you rarely see them killing hordes of CC troops.

Unless of course they are standing right on top of each other, which was much easier when CC troops just came out of 1 door.

Exactly. Balloons take out walls too, giant+balloon works well for low levels, with balloon taking out walls so giants can enter.

A single level 5 (or 6, can't remember) wizard destroyed a group of 10-12 giants in about 3 seconds in a clan war I was in. 'Nuff said. :P
