This thread in a nutshell:
TITLE: The daily zapper complaining thread.
OP: Zappers are noobs. Zappers should man up and play the game like real men.
Others 1: Yeah I agree.
Others 2: Nope, zapping is a legitimate tactic.
Some others: OP is in the wrong league with too much loot.
Some other players: *Discussion get's sidetracked*
My view: You get zapped in lower leagues. In higher leagues, people will not zap cause they want trophies. I didn't get zapped in C2. People simply aimed for my storages, which was even worse.
I am unable to see a satisfactory conclusion to this topic. How do you think can a TH7 revenge/attack a TH10 and get DE? Zap OFC. If somebody needs 1000 extra DE for some upgrade and he sees a well defended base with good DE, he will zap it, end the attack and then raid some other player with the remaining of his troops.
All of us have zapped at some point of time, I am no exception. Now I simply use Gibarch or Baloonian for DE, it gives more DE than I could have ever earned from zapping.
To OP and others who don't support zapping: What do you think should be a solution to this? Do we really need a solution? People will eventually move on from zapping once they get better troops. Discuss.

What is the point of defences if a th10 should still be losing protected storage resources to th7s? lol
The problem isn't that people are zapping, of course if its profitable for them to zap then they will obviously zap, they would be stupid not to. But that's exactly the problem, the reason it is so frequent is because it is profitable. So the obvious solution is to make it less profitable, that way only the keenest of zappers would carry on but most would stop.
At the moment the most you can get from a maxed storage is over 2k, if the storage had a resistance to lightning spells for example and only took 2/3 damage you could still take 1.3k which is decent but not very profitable. Of course some people may move on when they get better troops but they will obviously be replaced by other people who have just got lightning spells. The reason for this is that it is still too profitable to zap. Alternatively they could make another storage upgrade. Some people think they may in the next update, the last two Jan updates were related to heroes after all, and if there are more hero levels it may come along with another level on storage.
A more extreme solution is to not allow lightning spells take resources from storages at all unless the storage is destroyed or at least hit by a troop. But this is highly unlikely and I'm not particularly fond of it.
