Why my idea isn't getting views/replies? I really worked hard on it.

    This one

I've seen that newer posts of ruled out ideas even have more views than mine. It's unfair because I put a lot on effort on all the sats and nobody is checking that out. And those ruled out posts get more views in less time. ♥♥♥? I just want SC to consider my suggestion.

I'm really mad that stupid posts like "flying walls" get more replies. Just freaking riddiculous.

Quit whining. It's happened to me many a time. If you'd bothered to read the stickies instead of whining, you would have seen that SC read every thread in Ideas and Feature Requests. This happens to hundreds of people, but you're the first I've seen complaining. Man up.

Now I feel bad for making that sarcastic thread.

I thought that your idea is nice and pretty well explained.

But my personal opnion to this is people are just not interested at your idea. And even worse, it gets buried down because of the ruled out/ridiculous threads (like one that I just did) and sometimes make fun of those thread, making them more interesting that your brilliant and legit idea. I'm really sorry buddy.

This got me thinking as to why that is.

Ruled-out ideas, by thier nature, are popular ideas, but shot down by Supercell. They are so popular and desired that SC made a sticky thread to tell people to effectively shut up about them already.

So in short, any moderately good idea will be view at as neat, but the ruled-out idea threads will usually be talked about because the public demand for them is so high.

That's not to say that the actions of the public are correct. You can have a really good idea. People view it, like it, but may not reply. A ruled-out idea on the other hand, you have a heated argument going on with those. Along with people wanting them greatly, you may have people not wanting them. Added to that another group of people saying, in short, shut up about that ruled-out idea already.

So there is just usually more activity with ruled-out threads than there are in threads with more original and new ideas, which shoves the latter threads deep into the page count.

They may read all the threads, but there is no reassuring feedback for Supercell to the person suggesting the idea. Nor can they really spend time to do that. Not without a change to the forum system anyway.

Also ideas more or less have to win the popularity contest before Supercell likely considers the idea. Even good ideas can be given not so great reviews when looked at on paper, until seen in action. They have so much to work with, with a system that is moderately complex (and kept simple as possible for everyone's sake) that SC can only really afford to use popular and well discussed ideas. If that topic is drowned out by other things, sure SC forum readers read it, but it has likely out of luck for being used, since not enough people talk about it, for whatever reason.

I wasnt a fan of your idea enough to talk about it. Just seemed like a waste of loot for base clutter. They're essentially just decorations that can be destroyed. I'm not really into decorations and would rather Supercell develop newer, usable content.

What you've said is all correct, but I'm not sure why you've quoted me.

I can hardly believe that they read every topic. They are humans, and the amount of posts here is really big :/

That's OK. But they aren't really decorations, because they take time to destroy. And sometimes basic buildings with very few uses can lead to loads of new strategies :)

Read the sticky. They have more than enough staff to glance through every non ruled-out idea.
