TH8 do i need lvl 8 walls before th9?

So i am itching to get to TH9, bad. I have completed all elixer upgrades and the only gold upgrades i have left are 2 archer towers and walls (all are lvl 7). I want to upgrade my BK to lvl 10 as he is currently lvl 9 also. My dark troops i am not worried about as i have leveled up what i need.

So what is your experience? Do i need lvl 8 walls before i make the jump? Have any of you skipped the walls and regretted it later? Any feedback is appreciated. I plan to finish BK and archer towers before i make the move so no worries about rushing in that area. Let me know what you think!

You will not have money for upgrading walls at early Town Hall 9. Do it immediately and finish the last walls while you are upgrading your walls.

Ahhh, I forgot about the elixir revert, Hmm, maybe knock off 100 walls while TH8, then start the upgrade and finish while upgrading.

Lvl 8 walls are nice. I did them before I got to TH9. But if builders are done or you have the research that you need, do not wait just for walls. Walls matter, but not that much.

I am 6 weeks into TH9 and I am so glad I maxed out at TH8......there is so much to do here. Perhaps leave some of your DE research, as DE is much easier to get at TH9. Don't worry about the doom and gloom merchants saying that farming is much harder at TH9, it isn't. Best of luck, and enjoy the rest of your journey.
