The ONE AND ONLY "should I upgrade my TH now?" thread

I am sick of seeing "Am I ready for TH x?" threads everyday when I lurk here in the forum so I decided to create this.

When it is good to move up already:
Troops you use for farming and war should be maxed. Do not upgrade troops which you would not use, unless you want to be one of those people who are jumping into the bandwagon of maxing everything.

TH 2-6: Could be skipped.

TH 7: Max all defenses and walls.
BK could be left off not maxed because DE is easier to loot at TH 8 with level 5 troops, but you could max him if you wanted. The one lvl 3 drill at TH 7 does not help much.

TH 8: Max defenses and walls. BK is recommended to be maxed to give way for AQ at TH 9.

TH 9: Max all defenses. Get at least lego walls, but could be left off to skulls if you dont have time. Get both heroes to at least lvl 15 or 20. Maxing collectors are recommended.

The only reason to rush is if your a hardcore farmer like if you could farm 4+ zap walls a day.

Excellent post! This needed to be said. Will adjust my plan accordingly.

But the truth is only ONE rule, maximum walls at each Town Hall level before moving up.


For example:
Purples to TH8 with weak defence, sure.
Skulls to TH9 with weak defence, sure.
Lavas to TH10 with weak or no defence, sure.

Defence upgrade is cheap and can come any time after the main thing, walls.


BUT in reality, all you have TO DO is have completed Lavas at TH9 before moving on, that is it. No loot problem.
