When a clan loses a war, its members get only a fraction--20%, I think--of the loot bonuses they earned. However, this is not fair. It makes sense that the losing clan gets only part of its bonus; if this weren't the case winning would be practically meaningless. However, it is not fair that if a clan loses 99-100 stars, the members get the same tiny loot fraction as if they'd lost 20-150.
I previously posted an idea to solve this here:
http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...highlight=loot
However, I recently realized that that idea, that losing clan war loot would be it's stars divided by the other clan's stars times loot, would largely remove the incentive to win wars. As such, I've developed a new alternative idea.
My new idea is that star difference between clans would affect loss loot (like in the other idea), but there would be no mathematical relationship (unlike the other idea). If the losing clan lost by less than 10% of the enemy's stars, they would get 50% of their earned war loot. If they lost by 10-20%, they would get 40% of loot. If they lost by more than 20%, they would get 25% loot. I think this system would work to be more fair to clans that barely lose without removing the incentive to win.
I would also suggest that less than 3-star attacks get less loot, though only a small difference; perhaps 80% for one star and 90% for two, or 90% and 95%. Alternately, your loot could be your percentage destruction to a minimum of 80%.
