Nice Experiment. I have seen my counter at 200 rarely but didn't know it might pass the 1000!! but as u said it is still the counter but the chat will have only 100 msgs left.

Guys, just got back. Total length of peelings 2.6m. While I was there I emptied a tea bag and counted the leaves and there were 1675.5
Tomorrow I am measuring how many normal steps it takes me to reach the corner shop and then I will how many pigeon steps.

Its just because you restart the game, if you stay logged in, it will surpass 100.
