What a $100 Chest of Gems bought me...

I've played this game for about 7 months -- I'm level 96 and, until a day ago, had spent no more than $100 total. However, I had an influx of iTunes Cards in my life so decided to buy the Chest of Gems... $100 and 14000 Gems.

This is what it bought me...

-Upgraded one X-Bow from level 2 to 3
-Upgraded the other X-Bow from 1-3
-Filled up my Dark Elixir and began upgrading my Golem to Lev 2


Then it was all gone.


Yikes... This game is freaking expensive. Not sure I'll ever do that again.

GEM saves time TIME.

Jorge Yao, spent over $35,000 which saved him about 3-4years of non-gemmer game time. That's the gist of it.

Ummm...Im pretty sure he said he spent around 3k...that was about a month ago...so he has probably spent 4k now.
35k is incorrect...not that it matters to me one way or the other.

Hmmm.. here is a table for what you've spent your gems on.

	Days	Gems required
X Bow Lv2 to 3	14	1,863
X Bow Lv1 to 3	10+14=24	3,096
Golem Lv1 to 2	10	1,370

Total gem cost to speed up upgrade time = 1,863+3,096+1,370 = 6,329 Gems

Chest of gems = 14,000 Gems.

So you've spent/wasted: 14,000 - 6,329 = 7,671 Gems on resources.
7,671 gems = 61 Days worth of upgrade time. (Or slightly lesser as gems in bulk is more profitable)

Understand the problem here ?

With 61 days worth of upgrade time.. you could have gem your 14*4=56 Days, 4 Lv7 Tesla and still have gems left..

Listen to his interviews. A few months ago it was 2500

what a waste of $100... everyone knows u never use gems to full storages... u boost barracks noob! if u dont know... now u know -----! pedropee is right u did however save 1 month for your max xbows! so good on ya for that! but next time use it to speed upgrades and boost barracks for loot! Where did you get the 35K figure from? I listened to his interviews, he never said he spent that much. It was more around 2K+ at the time of the interview. Is there a new interview/source? Please direct me to it. Thanks.

Not 35k but around 4k IMO. He spent about 1-2k maxing out heroes bear in mind.

My wiz tower had 1hr to go. I just spent 20 gems to finish it immediately so I could spend my 8mil gold and continue raiding. Already raided 270k gold and 1100 DE on the first raid. All for 20 gems!
