Why did this Pekka stop and walk away from destroying this TH ?

Just when I'd thought I'd seen it all with Pekkas and their ADHD-like habits, she throws a new curve ball at me. This past war, I had a Pekka destroying a TH and just when it was almost destroyed, she abruptly stops and walks away.:eek:
You can see it in this video, she starts destroying when there is 45 seconds left in the replay.

(Sorry for the video quality! I have no fancy screen capture equipment and I had to record this in a hurry due to the next war starting soon. )

Any guesses as to what caught her eye and made her suddenly switch targets? At first we thought it was the king but you can see that the king was in her line of sight well before she stopped hitting the TH. Another guess was that the skeleton trap threw her off somehow but if so, then it's a bug b/c the skeletons are dead before she turns away from the TH too.

Awww, You should've zoomed out a bit, because it looks like pekka targeted something out from the screen, what that cannon 8 o'clock is shooting at. It didn't target the x-bow nor the cannon, so maybe another skeleton trap that we couldn't see?

It was due to skellies. Once a troop is distracted by a skelly, it starts the "attack all troops and heroes mode" so as you can see first the pekka was distracted by a skelly and once those were gone the next thing to destroy are not buildings but heroes. The bk ruined your attack

Ah, this is the best explanation I've heard so far, thanks! But, what is this "attack all troops and heroes mode" you speak of?

51% base destruction ---> All teslas pop-up ---> All units retarget ---> PEKKA targets BK

The wizard near the PEKKA also decided to target BK at the same time.

Still, it's pretty dumb that units are targeting the BK when he is like half map away.

that happened to one of my clanmates too! i assumed it was due to the skelies but what others are saying here makes sense. The skeleton trap has become a bit too much. seen many failed attacks due to them distracting powerful troops away form the TH = too powerful as a trap
