    Lightning conductor spell or trap

    Ever get fed up with someone dropping a couple of lightning spells on your DE storage but making no attempt to attack you base? How about a trap or a spell that you use on your own base that protects a chosen building or area? I think this could work as a lightning protection spell or a lightning conductor trap. General idea would be that the higher the level of trap or spell the greater the damage from a lightning spell it can absorb. Here's a guess at some metrics:

    Name of Spell - lightning protection/conductor
    Training Cost (usually in elixir) - 15,000 elixir at level 1
    Targets - lightning spells
    Effect Type - neutralises the effect of a lightning spell
    Damage Type/Amount (if applicable) - n/a - protects one building or radius of 2 squares
    Training Time - 20mins
    Description -
    neutralises the effect of a lightning spell
    Research/Spell Levels - up to max level 4 that should neutralise the equivalent of 3max level lightning strikes
    Lab Level - 3

    Alternatively as a trap it could be:

    Name of Trap - lightning conductor
    Training Cost - 10,000 gold
    Targets - lightning spells
    Effect Type - neutralises the effect of a lightning spell
    Damage Type/Amount (if applicable) - n/a -
    protects one building or radius of 2squares
    Training Time - 20mins
    Description - neutralises the effect of a lightning spell. You can have 1 trap at TH6, 2 traps at TH7 and 3 traps at TH9
    Research/Spell Levels - up to max level 4 that should neutralise the equivalent of 3max level lightning strikes
    Lab Level - n/a

    for how long does the spell would protect the area? What if someone would make lots of those spells and drop them all around the village? What's the maximum number of spells you can drop on your village ?

    It perhaps works better as a trap rather than a spell, but the idea was that it wasn't a time based trap or spell, but would absorb a certain level of damage from a lightning spell. The higher the level of trap, the more damage it can absorb. But it only protects against lightning strikes. Not sure if it would work as a spell, but you could have as many on your village as you have capacity in your spell factory, the disadvantage being that if you use up all the space with these spells, you don't have any space available for spells when you attack. On reflection though I think a trap would be better than a spell, just thought it was worth exploring both possibilities.

    I think that would be one of the most annoying thing in the game, because farming Dark Elixir using lightning spells to upgrade your troops / heroes would take ages. I think there shouldn't be something like that.

    ... And that is precisely the reason for having this trap - I am sick of people like you stealing DE from people like me!! Why should you be able to steal the DE that I have put time and effort into stealing properly with actual attacks, and by spending the time to upgrade my DE drills. Your method of farming DE is both cowardly and lazy in the extreme! Maybe when you move up a few levels you will realise just how annoying it is to have someone do this to you. If you made an effort to do a proper attack on my base I wouldn't mind, because I have spent the time to upgrade my defences, but there is no defending against someone being lazy and just zapping DE. So in order to counter this, some form of defence against lightning is needed. Of course if it's a trap then you don't have to use it to protect your DE - you could also use it to protect your defences, like protecting an air defence that someone might lightning strike before sending in a few healers, etc.

    When i was doing my king from level1 to level5 I moved to Master (it took me few days to get there) where bonus loot is 100k of gold / elixir and 500DE. In master i was looking for bases with their Th outside the village so i could get 1* = 500DE + sometimes i could find bases with their drills full of DE. I could get up to 2k of DE per ride. Now I'm upgrading to TH8, and I'm gonna use the same method to do my king and upgrade my troops.

    PS: If you don't want people zipping your DE just put your TH outside the village and there is a chance that people will destroy the Town Hall and leave, and you'll get shield for 12h which means your DE gonna be save by next 12h

    3 spells is too much, why not only reduce half of the damaga instead of the whole spell?
