How much will it cost to play once we hit TH 8 ?

being a new TH8 stinks and you'll get flattened by most TH8s and all TH9s. you just have to get through some of the pain and start building up your lab, camps, spells, and troops. go offense at first so that you can raid and get your loot back. after a week or two you'll see that there's tons of loot at TH8 and you'll be fine.

i have only 93 skulls to go and then i'll be a fully maxed TH8 with gems spent very rarely on only boosting barracks.

You might find it's not as bad as you think. Guess you can try putting your th outside to get cheap shields. Mostly of you're active you'll be able to loot better targets than before and upgrade defences well enough to deter enough raiders for loot on offer as you go. Only gems I spent at th8 were on burger king because I couldn't be bothered with the patience game of getting the dark together. He made it worthwhile very quickly.

Most people think they can continue playing the game the same way they did at the earlier ths... raid once log off, log in raid once log off... you get the point.

Around th 8 you have to start spending more time online to protect your resources. The days of raiding here and there are over. The upgrades are too expensive and if you're continually raided for the loot you just stole in the last raid you won't make anything. Kinda got to look at loot like cups in that sense. You have to raid for more loot then you can lose to make a profit

Also you can try leaving your th outside to get snipes and try dropping cups. That's what I did at th8 when I'd get run through by th9s with lv6 giants and the AQ. Good luck and don't get frustrated just change the way you play

Im a TH9 never spent money on the game, always left my th outside and protected my storages, can easily farm and save up and i need about 5 millionish per uprgrade.

I dont play loads as i work full time but i get about 7/8 good raids a day.

Look on here for a decent th8 farming base (theres loads) and also look for a decent farming strategy.

Also as some have said drop your trophies, you really shouldnt be struggling for loot at th8.

It doesn't need to cost anything. I kept 5 builders busy through th8 and lab working 24/7 without gemming at all. You just need to learn how to play in sessions, manage your shields and resources.

Now that everything costs 3k or more to upgrade and you are level 58 -60 , they let any level attack you and keep taking the 300k so you can not any where close to the 3mill. Needed to get an upgrade less you keep buying shields.so what's it gonna cost us to play from here on? They should give us a bankruptcy shield when we run out of cash.all I know is im out of money to buy gems and you cannot get ahead mineing. So I guess its you pay or stop playing.

Same here. I've a mini TH10 with maxed mines & collectors. Also 3rd DE drill going to max soon (last level 6).
Internal income already funded 2x inferno L1, 3x x-bow L2, all other upgrades need at least 1.5M or higher.
AQ 12, BK 8, all internally generated.

However, walls are all pink L6
Army camp still 200x instead of 240x, but is ok since it doesn't raid.

Drop your trophies to below 1k. I manage to stay there intact 99% of the time. Only very rare will get heavy attac

And this account started less than one year ago. The best is TH10, since got extra mine/collector/drill each.
All builders from gems achievements and chopping down trees/gem boxes, including the 5th one.
Haven't snipe to Crystal yet.

3500/hr x 24 x 7 = 588k/day
Collecting 7M for L3 x-bow is not that hard, about 12 days.
I collect from this account 3-4 times a day. Breakfast, lunch & dinner (Gordon Ramsay UHC ). And supper.

Currently upgrading:
inferno to L2
x-bow to L3
saving DE for king L9 (aiming for L10)
saving elixir to max 3rd drill
saving gold for next 7M x-bow L3
At such low trophy level, x-bow is better defense.

Best time ? Wait for the 1-gem resource boost

Honetly if you rely on collectors only, then gve up the game. This is clash of clans not farmville.
