How much will it cost to play once we hit TH 8 ?

Now that everything costs 3k or more to upgrade and you are level 58 -60 , they let any level attack you and keep taking the 300k so you can not any where close to the 3mill. Needed to get an upgrade less you keep buying shields.so what's it gonna cost us to play from here on? They should give us a bankruptcy shield when we run out of cash.all I know is im out of money to buy gems and you cannot get ahead mineing. So I guess its you pay or stop playing.

Honestly dude, the only time I've bought gems was to get my builder's huts.
If you can't farm, and rely on your collectors then take it slow.
If your collectors are too slow, buy resources.
If you are bankrupt, earn money.
If you can't earn money...heck, sell your phone and live a less addicting life!

I bought those Red Gems to support that campaign. That's really the only money I spent. Oh and I think I might've bought my first builder (I was stupid). I still have 520 of those gems from bushes and achievements. I haven't even gotten up to Masters yet.

If you have problem with TH8 upgrades, you will face bigger problem after TH8. You should know that things get more and more expensive, and not cheaper.

1. Learn how to raid and get loots

2. Do a research and try to improve your base

3. Stay at a lower trophy range

Another important tips for you, when you are close to getting the amount of gold/elixir for a major upgrade, do not log off.. stay online and raid till you got the number and hit the upgrade immediately.

If you are unable to do that, I guess your coc journey ends at TH8.

This did not cost me any money. Just five and a half months of playing time, that I was mostly enjoying - otherwise I would have stopped playing

I have a mini that I do not raid with at all and he is comfortably past half way through TH8, just using income from mines. Just don't expect to get skull walls unless you raid.

I play at TH10 and my son very recently had his TH9.

TH8 is the easiest TH in the game : many loot available and already interesting builging levels !

Same here. I've a mini TH10 with maxed mines & collectors. Also 3rd DE drill going to max soon (last level 6).
Internal income already funded 2x inferno L1, 3x x-bow L2, all other upgrades need at least 1.5M or higher.
AQ 12, BK 8, all internally generated.

However, walls are all pink L6
Army camp still 200x instead of 240x, but is ok since it doesn't raid.

Drop your trophies to below 1k. I manage to stay there intact 99% of the time. Only very rare will get heavy attack from GoWi... even L6 Giants can't take all, most of the time quarter-loss.

And this account started less than one year ago. The best is TH10, since got extra mine/collector/drill each.
All builders from gems achievements and chopping down trees/gem boxes, including the 5th one.
Haven't snipe to Crystal yet.

3500/hr x 24 x 7 = 588k/day
Collecting 7M for L3 x-bow is not that hard, about 12 days.
I collect from this account 3-4 times a day. Breakfast, lunch & dinner (Gordon Ramsay UHC ). And supper.

Currently upgrading:
inferno to L2
x-bow to L3
saving DE for king L9 (aiming for L10)
saving elixir to max 3rd drill
saving gold for next 7M x-bow L3
At such low trophy level, x-bow is better defense.

Best time ? Wait for the 1-gem resource boost

Final journey, is to be feeder troops.

Wow i am impressed, I level up my mini each time I do my main so will go to TH9 soon, also sat at about 900 ish trophies and never loose any loot.

Erm, there is a 3rd option:
Raid other people, enjoy the game, have a little patience and don't spend a penny?

If you can't save 3m gold for an upgrade without using gems then you're really going to struggle later in the game
