I'm trying to figure out which army is most efficientand consistent.

Efficient is BAM (uses all barracks, fast build, can hit storages and collectors). Consistent is a function of the loot presented to you, which has a ton to do with trophy ranges.

I'm honestly asking though, are TH8s struggling to find loot, or to take loot they find? I saw you said you were in crystal....which just isn't a good farming range for TH8s (unless you only need DE). I have a TH10 near max, and a TH7 about to hit TH8, so obviously I haven't been a real TH8 for a long time. Maybe things have changed, but from what I see at my TH7 things seem very similar from when I first started playing.

TH9 lvl 91

Trophy range: 1700-1800

Army: 1 barracks giants
1 barracks barbs
1 barracks archers
1 barracks with wbs and rest archers

I ussaly have 12-14 giants, 70 or so of barbs and archers and 10'wbs, it really depends on what you used last raid.

The loot has been decent I mainged to come back from not playing after 2 months and put on all 5 builders and lab 2 times now. The loot mainly is storage raids, but bases which have not segmented properly, so very easy to get to 3+ storages. The occasionally collector raid.

Collecotr raid 150k+
Storage - if storages are climbed 250k+ if properly segmented 350k+

If anything, it's funny! And it's meant as something to try and see how many walls you can take down & loot! I would not use it all the time!
It is pretty funny to take out more than half of the bases walls though...

I've just got to gold 1, then got demoted to gold 2. I would definitely recommend gold 3 for loot for th8. My one day there saw me upgrading 2 wizard towers to level 5, and my dragons to level 3. I'd say I earned about 4mil each. Too good.

Gold 2 isn't as good. Most raids up here are storage raids, but th9s, that a simple batch cannot penetrate. I will be doing a League Loot Analysis (LLA) for Gold II later today.

I have a Suggestion:
Everybody should write down the loot he got for a 2 hour session if he is boosting and post the ressources he got. It would be nice, if you can edit your first post.

Good and bad loot are defined different by different Players and this way you can see, which strategy works better.

OK here is my data for today:

TH: 9
League: Crystal 3 between 2000 and 2050

Army:
16 giants lvl6
6 wall breakers lvl5
60 archers lvl5
4 valks lvl1
20 goblins lvl5

and than alternating between:
2 additional valks lvl1
OR
8 additional goblins lvl5
8 barbarians lvl5

Reason for this is because 3 valks Need 24 minutes while the rest of the army needs 20 minutes, so I have 2.5 valks per barracks per raid.

Spells: only heal and used if needed (one spell every 1.5 raids on average)

Ressources for this boosting session:
3.5 mio Gold
1.5 mio elixir
3K dark

Note: Queen was down, so I only had my lvl10 king so I could not hit the harder bases so the loot a bit lower than normal.

Note: I am not farming dark elixir at the Moment. If I Need dark elixir I replace the valks with barbarian which makes my army a bit weaker and reduces attack frequency from 20 minutes to 24 Minute, but I save 350 dark per attack (about 7K-8K total), but I dont suggest this without the queen, because without valks I lack the strength to hit most bases. The king is nice, but is down most of the time, because there it is nearly impossible to protect him.

The farming strats I have used as a town hall 9 are

1) barch- 100 barb 120 arch, good for inactives, with help of royals can get all storages off th8s hehehe

2) bag- 60 barb 80 arch 80 gob, not bad, but barch is better with more tanking power from the barbs

3) bam- 80 barb 90 arch 25 min, only weakness is air bombs

Of course, 20 loons and 60 minions is nice as well, good for DE farming in M3

I'm a Th7, and use
50 barbs
40 archers
10 wizards
10 giants
10 wallbreakers
2 Heal
1 Rage

I mainly stay between 1500-1200, depends really as I mainly go for around 100k-200k in loot. It's not a perfect combo it Can do well on occasion and I've had a lot of success with it.

It can take a while depends on whether you want to attack immediately or later. It's mainly the spells that take some time and probably the wizards. That's the only real downside for me

I'm grabbing a fair bit of loot where I am, which I can't tell in fear you'll steal it, nothing personal.

I can tell you (with great reluctance :P) the strategy I'm using.

5 wb (level 4, I know, I know, I had other things to worry about)
10 giants (level 5)
BK (level 5, only sometimes)
80 archers (level 5)
60 barbarians (level 5)


No spells needed. I'm racking in a lot of elixir. Not always gold (unfortunately) but enough elixir to keep my research center running. Hasn't stopped really since I got to TH8. DE is decent, plenty of TH7s to bully and steal from.
