The real funny thing is that even after I tried to get you to spell Elixir correctly, you didn't get it. And you say I lack wit... *sigh* It's generally a good idea to spell the main word of the topic correctly.
And I was trying to be helpful, but unfortunately, your far superior wit didn't detect it.

I don't use elixer for walls. Why bother? I am th7, have L11 elixer collectors, L7 and 8 gold mines. I constantly have over 2 million in coins, 10K in dark elixer(can't possibly get the purple to expand that), and never enough purple. I come to fight.

If your mines are level 7 and 8, and your collectors are level 11, and you want more Elixir, or less gold, I think your wit could probably detect a possible problem.

Right now hit your attack button. Tell me the ratio of purple to gold. Tell me it's not unbelievably out of w♥♥♥♥. I only get a 2:1 gold:elixer at best. It's probably more like 5:1.

I hardly vet raided and when i do i don't loose much. Hit the attack button, at any level, no one has more purple than gold. The ratio isn't even close. I'd love to get raided more. Isn't this a fight club?

If you want to get raided more, I suggest putting your gold storages in a corner of your base. Apparently, you don't need gold anyway, and it will be fun watching people attack you. CoC is a fight club, not some online strategy game, after all.

What level is your town hall? I'm guessing 9 or 10? Up there, where TH9's and TH10's can dump elixir into walls, I suspect what you're complaining about is probably true.

I'm at TH7, fighting mostly TH6's to TH8's, and I'm finding the opposite situation. I'm finding about 1.5x as much elixir as gold, on average. It could be 100k gold, 150k elixir, or it could be 40k gold, 60k elixir, but that's about the ratio I'm seeing. I'm farming for gold, so I hold out for 100k gold, and I kinda don't pay attention to the elixir. I farmed 2.4M gold just yesterday, and by the time I had it, I had 2.2M elixir as well. And I was burning through elixir along the way (lightning spells and WB's aren't cheap), so I know I got more elixir than gold overall, though I managed to keep the ratio close.

I smell a troll. TH7, maxing out on coins, full DE storage, and not enough elixir?

First of all, you shouldn't be sitting on that much gold unless your walls are maxed. None of the gold upgrades at TH7 cost enough for you to need more than 2M gold in storage, and the walls only cost 200k each, so you should easily be able to bleed yourself down to 1.5M gold, the cost of a level 3 tesla upgrade (your most expensive gold upgrade).

Second, you can't upgrade your walls with elixir anyway, so I'm curious why you said "I don't use elixer for walls. Why bother?" <-- that why bother statement makes it seem like you're joking around with the situation, which only adds to my feeling that you're a troll.

But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for the moment. If you're a TH7 and you're seeing far more gold than elixir, then I have to assume that it's an issue with the league you're in. What's your trophy range that you farm in? I'm farming 1100-1500, and I'm seeing more elixir than gold in pretty much that whole range. I don't go higher than 1500, mainly because I like fast cheap armies for farming, so I lose too many battles above 1500 to stay there. And I don't go lower than 1100, mainly because I have to surrender to lose trophies below 1100, so I naturally stay above 1100.

He's not a troll, he just doesn't understand much about the game. Someone who maxes out their gold mines and leaves their collectors when they want Elixir and not gold isn't the sharpest tool in the box.

Unless I read it wrong I think you have it backwards his elixir collectors are 11 and gold mines are 7 and 8.

Anyways a TH7 complaining about not enough elixir blows my mind either a troll or wayyyyyy to low in trophy range.
