    Lightbulb To stop “ghost attack”, “♥♥♥♥”, “simulate attack”, by adding a confirm attack button

    To stop “ghost attack”, “♥♥♥♥”, “simulate attack”, by adding a confirm attack button “Start Attack” during the 30 second count down.

    As many of you may know, the ♥♥♥♥ or other similar ghost attack helper apps are frequently used during the clan war, so people can simulate the attack, practice and practice and practice, trying different arm combination in order to get the 3 stars and in order to get the victory, which is totally not fair for people who just want to play the game casually and have fun with their friend and clan mates, but as the game goes on, everyone reaching TH10, and the clan war become more and more intense, in order to win, many of us are forced to jack break our mobile devices and install those helper apps, and spend lots of time to simulate the attack in order to get the victory, the game is no longer to be fun and more and more like a job, which we need to spend ton of time to the game and draining our life, sooner or later, people will start quitting the game because it is so time consuming.

    For my guess, the ghost attack apps can work is because the gamer server already send all the information including traps and clan castle info of the defender’s town map to the attacker’s device, when the attacker view/scout the defender’s town map, the ghost attack helper take over the game and disconnect the game from the server, and create a sandbox for the attacker to simulate the attack.

    I have got a solution for this ghost attack problem, by putting a “Start Attack” button in the game, before the attacker click on the “Start Attack” button, either when the attacker just scout/view the defender, or after click on the attack button on the clan war map and start the 30 second count down, the game server just send the basic info of the defender’s town including all the walls and building that the attacker allow to see but not the trap infos and clan castle troops. Any time during the 30 seconds count down, the attacker may click on the “Start Attack”, then the game will reload the defender’s town with all infos including traps and castle, but at this point, the attack is already started and is already in the book, the attacker will lose the attack if they quit/disconnect right after the “Start Attack” button had been clicked.

    The main point is: “The game server will only send trap and clan castle detail to the client device, when the client device had confirmed the attack”.

    For normal search and farming, we can just stay the same way as we have right now, as no ghost attack can happen during the search and farming, or just put the “Start Attack” button any way, and when the countdown is over, and the button has not been clicked, will go out of the search mode and return to the town.

    For revenge attack, could work the same way as the Clan War attack.

    I know this change could means a lots of programming code changes from the very bottom of the game structure, but as someone who really like the game and have played it for over 2 years, I want all the best for the game and wish Supercell would take this idea into their consideration. With the simulate attack, the clan war is no longer a pleasure and a fun thing to do in COC but more like a headache.

    Nice attempt. The idea needs to address the key point of what happens if you disconnect during the raid. Should a disconnection before you have dropped a troop count as a raid even if you have pushed the confirm button?

    Yes, make sure you have a stable connection before war attacks. I think that they should just make it so once you push the attack button, you just used your attack. make an "Are you super duper sure you wanna attack this base" prompt, and be done with it.

    When an attacker scouts, there is no reason to send trap/cc/tesla locations.

    Yes, when you click the start attack, you are absolutely sure you want to start the attack.

    This solution will also solve the problem of mis tapping troop and start the attack, I guess this happened to almost every coc players, when search and farming, sometimes you accidentally drop one troop onto the map but you do not want to attack this town.

    This should only apply to war attacks, in regular game play, (insert word that comes out all hearts) is much less of an issue. (yes, its an issue, just not a huge big deal, you get killed on a revenge every once in awhile, who friggin cares).

    or supercell work on its encryptions :-D . encryption of hidden object should b different or these hidden objects should not b included in coding at scouting. so it cant b cached for example the scout button redirect to dumy base in which no coding is done for hidden objects. like they don't exist. while attack button redirect to full coded base

    AWESOME IDEA! (if you go around forums, I rarely give anything more than +1 )

    Simple solution that I think would be perfect. In an older thread, I tried to come up with a viable solution together with some other people and we ended up with nothing because of potential exploits. Great idea, it simplistic

    Except......
    Not everyone has a good ISP. This means that after start attack they would have to completely reload the base as if you went to previous screen and came back on... (not much problem there..., but ghost apps could still take data in that time; we can't solve this because if we start attack immeadiately, people with poor bandwidth will have less actual attacking time, and we can't go around upgrading every ISP in the world).

    So a better solution in my mind is to remove the attack button altogether. So now, everyone clicks scout, which has a start attack button (if war day is on) which takes them directly into the 3 minute battle (with battle having started). It's the same thing as your suggestion, but without the unnecessary 30 seconds.
