I understand not wanting to be negative.
So what about giving a stat in people's profile that reads 'total number of wars (as a participant, not a spectator) and attack percentage. People who would have a low percentage would just naturally become less appealing to let join a clan. People with a high percentage would become more sought out members.
Oh, I guess then some people would just attack with one goblin just to show that they attacked, so maybe there would have to be a minimum troop dispatched number based on total space available in the person's camps- like at least 75% of total camp capacity dispatched in order for it to count?

I think you are answering your own question. Even as you try to suggest it starts getting to convoluted trying to work out exactly how it would work exactly.
