Because the in-game balance overrules the two sentences of "lore" that were only written to justify the troop's building preference anyway.


Goblins are cheap, fast, and have a high dps. If they went directly for town hall, it would be much easier to get an instant win.

This. Do you know how many free shield and trophies would be given out? It would kind of ruin the game in a way. Plus I want my goblins to go for a storage (unless its an abandoned base, then I would want collectors and mines) and not a th tucked behind a nice wall.
