That fact that you had too much elixir when you were a TH8 does not stop this being a problem, that is a very short sighted view. If there is a problem it should be fixed.

Up until TH7 gold and elixir are used at about the same rate. At TH8 there is vastly more gold needed than elixir so it becomes a problem here.

You found ways to use the elixir... Please enlighten us how you can spend elixir when there is nothing to spend it on?

You are correct that it is a problem for TH8s having lots of elixir and nothing to do with it. They tried to come up with a solution to this giving rise to the lix for walls update. Unfortunately this caused an even bigger problem for TH9s and 10s whereby they couldn't get enough elixir to complete their very costly troop upgrades and occasionally train an army. Therefore they rightly decided that having too little elixir for players was much worse than too much and brought out a compromise that limits walls with lix to the very highest levels.

I know it is very difficult to see the bigger picture when you are a TH8 but if you try you must accept that for the good of the game as a whole Supercell made the correct choice in reverting what was a mistake in the first place.

Their solution to the problem their first solution caused is just as bad. They should have removed it for every wall, or fixed the system for which walls are allowed to be upgraded using elixir, so that it cannot break the economy at higher THs. The current revert still screws over TH10s, as every TH9 can dump all their unneeded elixir, with a staggering 1:5 to 1:8 ratio of gold to elixir. That's a problem. All this revert did was remove the ability for TH7/8s from being able to cause the economical problems, while allowing TH9/10s to continue to break the economy for TH10s.

I am th7 in gold 1-3 league all i found is my gold storage max out an always and my elixer is not even 1/4 full. i am just farming for elixer and letting all the extra gold get to drain, just a few raid out from gold grabber 3 star achievement. what i want is more source of elixer. Mines and collector are pretty useless i have all of them at level 5 the time it cost to upgrade the is not worth its value, if they have been like walls get instantly upgraded i would have done so

May I ask what your gold and elixir storage capacities are at currently, along with your gold grab to elixir grab numbers? And knowing what level all your walls are at would help as well, the numbers behind your problem seem off, as there is a substantially higher need for gold than elixir requirements at TH7.

That's a short sighted view. They pay for themselves very quickly. Surely you can do the basic math needed to see that.

but is it worth the time to have a builder busy with them when you have 3 ok at max 4 builder at th7 when you can uses them to upgrade you village defense faster?

its not only off for me but many other th7 too


my base
reason my gold is not maxed out is because of the Tesla and i didn't went for farming today. and the elixir will soon be used to upgrade my 2nd barrack to dragon level and for loons lv4 research. then all i will have is zero elixir
