Bash elix into skulls = less than 50k to steal. No difference in terms of viable target than doing 200k purples with lix.

Lv9 walls at 1 million, still leaves people able to show less than 100k elix available should they wish.

Remember. Every grumpy response you see from a th9+ player.......we were th8s once.
Early starters had far fewer ways to learn about the game than you have now.

It just means that TH8s will not spend 2/3 of the time at this level sat on 6 million elixir. (Removing it from the game)

Up to and including TH7 the gold and elixir are pretty balanced. At TH9 elixir can be pushed into walls so this just causes a problem for just for TH8s, which can easily be addressed.

Hit upgrade then. If your worried about losing 50 mill lix then go to th9 and spend it on Legos. Maxing everything is dumb if it means losing resources that you could otherwise spend.

Very few TH8's are sitting on a large amount of elixir in the grand scheme of things. You can skip hundreds before finding one with swollen purple balls.

Any player found with swollen purple balls needs to put the game down and see a doctor, pronto.

It adds EVERYTHING to the economy. Above you.
Forget about the comparitively small amount that disappears into the ether, and think about the 200-300k available youre showing to th9s.
Early th9s are incredibly lix hungry. Lv6 troops, camps and all that jazz, they need it.
When low lvl walls were around, there was little for th9s to steal. The bits they could find, soon as those early ugs were done, they could slap everything into neglected walls.
Which left ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for th10s to steal. Where the huge lix costs are.

I feel your frustration, because we all did it. But dont think its not helping, its making all the difference. Days/weeks/couple months of frustration for each individual, compared to a virtually broken game for the majority. Thats the true difference.

So, do you guys think that Elixir has returned even for Th10? Becuse most TH 9 and 10 can still put their E in walls. I wish they turned it back to gold only for all walls. As a pretty new th10 Gold is not a concern but I struggle to get Elixir enough for all upgrades.

Well if you're not constantly attacking, try building mass dragon army, then scrap it and rebuild. Keeps your lix low and deters those pesky TH9/10 from raiding. I've used that tactic. I also use all three spells every attack. Until my lab becomes free I try and keep less than 500k in Elixir. Currently sitting on less than 300k.

Im a little bit confused here to be honest, to those TH8s like the poster quoted that deliberately dump lix just so they wont be raided, this seems like crazy behaviour to me. This lix is EXCESS that you dont need.. so why not let someone attack you for it? it does them a favour in letting them find some lix, and you a favour by removing it from your storages so that you have room for some more. If you are worried about getting seriously trampled, put the lix stores outside by your th, maybe that will deter people from bothering to 3 star you...

By all means build super duper armies over night and have some fun with them when you wake up, use the lix for that surely, build super duper troops to donate to your clannies, but dont deliberately waste it, that makes no sense to me at all... its that whole philosophy of "I can't have something so neither can you"

This is the reason I don't go out looking for snipes. I have in the past and found premium bases I don't find with a full army and then I kick myself for not being able to steal stuff. Don't raid without your army

That fact that you had too much elixir when you were a TH8 does not stop this being a problem, that is a very short sighted view. If there is a problem it should be fixed.

Up until TH7 gold and elixir are used at about the same rate. At TH8 there is vastly more gold needed than elixir so it becomes a problem here.

You found ways to use the elixir... Please enlighten us how you can spend elixir when there is nothing to spend it on?

really I don't get the whining...when there were elixir walls for the lower lvl walls there was a ridiculous shortage of elixirs....now that the shortage doesn't exist so much anymore you guys are now complaining about sitting on full elixir storages? the nerve of some people....guess supercell just can't please some of you cry cry babies...yo at least you have full storages :-/

before elixir walls I farmed all my lava walls the old way by using gold ONLY and it took me over 7 months of a lot of sleepless nights..7 months I sat on full elixir storages...whose fault was that? yours? lol...silly kids and their whining

Excess elixir makes the game fun. You donate, war, raid with no regard to the cost. Lack of elixir makes the game awful to play. No one can donate, war, or raid. See how that works?

Sure, it is frustrating for that relatively small window at late TH8. That is a tiny amount of time compared to how long you will spend at TH9 and TH10. We all went through it. Managing your resources and upgrades is part of the game.
