    Thats funny!

Back to the point though. Your recommendation is even if you weren't completely maxed at a particular TH it might be a good idea to upgrade to the next TH to make sure your builders keep busy? Being efficient?

There is only ONE way to play this game at th7 and below and that is to maximize and upgrade. This is because the upgrade times are simply so short (as compared to higher th lvls), there is no reason for you to not do so.

And if you plan on playing this game to th9or 10 then the lack of upgrades (wall incl.) will catch up and you will regret it.

Pretty much. It kind of assumes that you haven't waited until the end to do all of your walls or that you haven't had lots of dead time in your lab. I think I had 4 builders through TH6, and then I sprung for a Google Play card during a Kroger 4x fuel points promo to get the 5th when I kept having "too much loot, not enough builders" syndrome. With TH6, my lab and buildings finished up within a day or two, so I didn't have to make a choice to upgrade early because of the lab. With TH7, I couldn't earn (and keep) enough DE to upgrade my BK past level 3 or 4 and upgrade hogs to level 2 before my builders were idle, so I upgraded to TH8 with those upgrades outstanding. With TH8, there is just so much to do in both buildings and the lab. I chose to go the route of upgrading PEKKAs to level 3 and minions to level 4, so I had upgrades on hogs, valkyries, and golems outstanding when I was running out of builder jobs.

The main thing is to have a plan to your upgrades so that you keep your builders and lab constantly busy without leaving huge holes in your defenses or having to raid a huge amount of loot to upgrade something. Having a collector or storage upgrade mixed in can help with that. In TH8, the biggest challenge for me was getting Teslas done since you have 3 levels for 3 Teslas and upgrades take up to 10 days each. I ended up upgrading mine in batches of 2 after my archer towers were already upgraded, so that I wasn't spending 3 months upgrading Teslas. In earlier THs, I'd say that air defenses were the big bottleneck that you forget about upgrading until too late.

Also, one of my co-workers showed me a free web tool called clash of clans tracker (http://clashofclans-tracker.com) that helps to show you just how much loot and time (with several builder configs) you need to max out a TH level. I've found it good to keep my head straight on what's left, and it's fun to cross stuff off the list (especially walls).

I must have missed someone pointing this out, but those collectors bring in millions in resources over the course of time. They're a great investment and the quicker you get them done the more you benefit.

The difference of even 500 elixir extra being produced per hour (12,000 per day) per six collectors (12K*6=72K per day) adds up to over 26 million resources per year.

And if you have all level 12 collectors and are making 3,500 an hour that means you get 184 million every year in free resources.

    So yeah, that's pretty awesome.

Edit: That's per each resource type. That's 184M gold & 184M elixir btw, to say nothing of de drills.
