I can only speak for myself and let you know the mood of the players on the FB forum pages that I am on.

The Christmas event - I started the event, but once I saw that the prizes were the ones that I already owned, I was not of the mindset to continue. This was echoed by other forum members that had the prizes already. Yes I wanted the Bell, but did not want to put the effort into getting prizes I did not want duplicates of. I really thought that if I donated my goods to another player that we would make the global event. I guess that I was wrong as many other players decided not to pursue their personal goals either.

The New Years event - With this event, I had a large head start as I had in my barn over 200 muffins. Then I made more to donate to other players to help them. Granted, I did not really care about getting the record player. And this is what I heard so many other forum members say. They were not going to finish as they did not care about getting a record player.

The Global Truck event - I was a bit disappointed with this event. I was hoping for a truck event with double XP as we have not had an XP event in a while. I do truck orders continually, so this is not a big deal for me. However, the 5 diamonds are not a big incentive for me to do more orders.

As far as the DD filled with Maps and TEM it is a bit frustrating. I am finished with the town but still play it regularly. I obtain Maps and TEM that I sell several times a day to avoid filling my barn with them. I am sure that is what other players are doing as well. However that DD is not as useful as it once was. You can no longer find saws, axes, barn and silo materials like you used to.

I saw a change in players attitudes with the ducks. I also felt like the introduction of the ducks now made me choose if I was going to do fishing, lobsters or ducks. Prior to the ducks I had a very good system for fish and lobsters and opening 2 extra areas did not help the space problem. So, I do not do the ducks except once every so often just to get a few feathers. Good idea, but too much to juggle in the fishing area.

On another note, I understand that they said the drop rate for axes and saws have increased, however, on my farm they did for a short time and now the drop rate is far less than they were before the fix. I am having a hard time keeping up my farm as I once did. I REFUSE to use Tom for axes or saws. Just me, I think it is a waste for him to get me those. LOL But I also refuse to let dead trees and bushes on my farm. So I do not harvest until I have the axes or saws to cut them down.

Also, the plank drop has also declined dramatically as on our trade forum the majority of players are begging for planks. We need a happy medium! My farm produces Mallets, Tape and Screws!!

Thank you again for your reply. I also would like a fix for the bugs before another update.

FYI - I am level 118, Town 27 and play way too much!! Happy Farming!!

i am am so sad, I joined the hayday family in the summer and I was sooooo enthusiastic about it, encourgaging my friends to play. I am not a big diamond purchaseor I must admit, but I do buy diamonds and my friends do too (in some cases a lot) I have participated in the forum when I have felt I can contribute and have met nothing but kindness from people here. Everyone above me have very good points to make, more articually than me. My point is, that before I downloaded this game I read the reviews, your reviews now on the App Store aren't so good. The forum, which is surely your loyal feedback?, is not so good. I am a low level player that tried really hard for the Christmas event and for the new year one. For what? Decorations that could be bought for coins or not many diamonds and a balloon?

Question Can we have a second go on those events?

    Hi Nick,

Can you please discuss with your team and let us repeat the same 3 events with the same amount of time BUT continue from the global point reached previously meaning if the previous event needed 367M in 7 days and we hit only 310M, we should be getting the same event that will last for 7 days and only need to hit 57M to get the bell. ^_^

NOOO Zen... lots of players already sick of making muffins and sewing machine and duck stuff. Besides, if redo the events, players are most likely skeptical based on previous experience. Please SC just make a great global event for Valentine's Day! It's only a month away... and can be started February 7, one week before Valentine's Day for a week.

    Hi Gazzanga,

Its not exactly a redo, but a continue from it. More like a feel bad situation on SC part and this is one of the way to reward the players after what's been achieved on those events. ^_^

Wow, Zen, you have the elite (but very temporary) "Crab Claw" status! Congratulations!

    Back to the topic...
Like Gazzanga says, I think that the best thing that Supercell can do is put forward an excellent NEW global holiday event for Lunar New Year or Valentine's Day to show that they are working to change events for the future. They can also respond to player feedback (as they have in the past) with other improvements and fixes.

I'm "over" the holiday events. I don't think Supercell is going to set a precedent of having some sort of "do over" for events where we don't reach the global goal, and I don't want to see that. I DO think that they will come up with a way to encourage farmers to participate beyond the bare minimum and to better inform the entire Hay Day community about the event and our progress in it.

I think it is practical request, if Supercell gives the chance to upgrade the barn as global reward, that is feasible as well as not a deal breaker for them.Because barn upgradation is a continuous process for eternity and you never will be satisfied by the size of the barn,.....

Actually it has an upper limit, and thus it might not be possible to hand out a "free upgrade". Those who have maxed it out, can't get more and I am pretty sure that the game would break if we would "force" it to the barn/silo.

    Cheers,

We don't want to break the game!

In another thread Positive and helpful feedback to improve global events. It has been suggested that a point system be in place. Where you can "buy" what you want from a gift catalog. If SC would make such a thing. If SC would put a "free upgrade" in the catalog. Could SC put on that item unavailable or replace a item to people that has maxed out barn/silo. Would something like that work or done?

I am happy to see a member of SC responding to the posts. Thank you Nick.

If you read the forum, players are verry negative. sC made some huge mistakes and unless they don't admitt that players will be negative whit every event.

it is for SC important to exactly know what went wrong so they must analyse the events to the minimum, but the players just want an appalogy and if possible a making good item, maybe some diamonds or whatever. Rather sooner then later so they feel like being taken serious. Nicks responses are too late, SC had to react on the forum much sooner and take action. it is 3 weeks after the x mas event, and its is time to take serious action to get the players less negative. Untill they do, the negative feelings will carry on and inforce them self and it will take more effort to trun this around.

the players are not intersested in the data analyses what went realy wrong. We know what happened, so take action. Nick is doing his best but he is also restricted.

Bit unfair Tilla. Nick has apologised and he is the official voice of SuperCell as far as I'm concerned. He shares our frustration and disappointment, and that's fine by me.

The Christmas event was a bit of a shambles. They set the bar too high I suspect, starting it a tad late so it overran into the Christmas holiday period when naturally people have less time on a game. But we also failed collectively to do enough. Time to move on and as others have said just hope the next global event is a rip-roaring success. That will be the acid test for SuperCell to put its money where its mouth is. Mixed metaphors but it gets the point across.

They don't owe us anything as they've provided a great game we all enjoy. It's just on this occasion something slipped, but let them do their job, analyse and assess, then show us what they've learned by blowing us away with the next one.
