At another player's suggestion, Besta revived this thread because it is one to which Nick actually responds. I don't think it matters too much that it no longer relates to the original issue, just as long as it gets Nick's attention and an answer to the present question.

Exactly. The original issue has nothing to do with it. This is simply a medium for Nicky boy to address some concerns if he's willing. Or even just to say "wassssup!!". Just go with it.

I don't understand what is expected from Nick here. Besta's post is more in the way of an FYI in my opinion - bringing a thread to Nick's attention so he can ensure it gets reviewed. And she answered her own question - everything new needs review and, possibly, tweaks.

If there's more expected here I don't see it. Unless you're asking for Nick to explain the rationale for each tweak supercell has done, which seems unreasonable in my opinion as the only result of that is a lot of extra work on Nick's part for what - a thousand forum members to say they disagree with the reasoning? Am I missing the point here?

Thanks for the explanation. I was confused as well. It may have been better to start a separate thread. i usually start reading at the beginning, so those old issues was confusing as they were settled. These will probably be settled to in a few months and we will all be wondering what the fuss was about. The link to another multi page thread turned into too much to read for me to follow the thoughts.
