I do like the idea of the town's anniversary, and maybe the Mayor could have an annual birthday party for himself, too.

I'll admit that I am not happy with the management of the maps situation. When it was first raised on the forum, it was an annoying niggle that could have been fixed with a bit of tweaking. It has taken until now for SC to start listening, and the map situation is a major problem, with the newspaper - at least at my level - rarely showing anything except maps.

    3. If I can find some examples of Diwali celebrations, that would be a cool fun thing to do on the farm. I am TRYING to win more bugs, gnomes, butterflies, caterpillars and snails. Underattended celebrations are just ... so.... SAD!
Ah, Perky, if only I could send you some of our socks made from finest Merino wool and possum fur (the World's only ecologically-acceptable real fur). They would keep your tootsies toasty warm!

Thanks for providing the link - and yes, this year's commemoration is huge. The Government has provided funding for books to be written, is providing air fares for selected veterans to attend the service at Gallipoli, there are a number of programmes on TV, and let us not forget Russell Crowe's movie, The Water Diviner, out now.

And to keep Besta happy - Nick, it is time we had some feedback on when the help alert issue, the map issue and the sea chest bug issue are going to be resolved and how they are going to be resolved.

I Love hayday but not the management so much.
When I opened the game to do my chores this morning, there was a package of diamonds by my front steps. I checked the Daily Dirt and there were far fewer map pieces clogging the pages. Could this be the end of the map piece plague? I have my fingers crossed. Hope it lasts.

As far as feeling warm and fuzzy is concerned, it seems to me we found something constructive to do while SC was working on a fix. Win-win in my book.

Yeah i still see a ton of them...maybe slightly less (coincidental?) but there is at least 1 map ad to every 2-3 non-map ad.

The mystical in art, the mystical in life, the mystical in nature, this is what I am looking for and in the great symphonies of music, the initiation of sorrow, and in the depths of the sea I may find it. It is absolutely necessary for me to find it somewhere." -O. Wilde

I would say this is an improvement - a week ago the best scenario was 1:1 map v non-map ads, with it more likely being 3:1. I hadn't seen a newspaper page (4 ads) without at least two of them being maps in weeks before the recent update.

With ads being player-generated I anticipate it'll be another few weeks before we see the true result of the drop rate tweak. That'll clear out the stockpiles and current road side shop inventory and leave us with a better picture of the maps in relation to other tools. I look forward to it

I confirm the map problem is a LOT better now. Right now I have a DD with only TWO map ads. How refreshing! My shirts, juices, pies, and EMs are back
