I did not take BB's post as "an attack" on Nick. (Besides, Nick is a grown man who, if he was attacked, can defend himself on this forum without any help from me)
I was trying to answer the question (as I understood it) of why are posters so negative to SC, then so nice to the SC representative. It's the same question my daughter had when we saw a former U.S. President at a football game. He spoke to me, and I was polite and respectful. She was VERY confused by that. I explained that although I did not agree with his policies or politics, there was no need to be ugly.
Same here![]()
i appreciate your post too -- your made a very good point about how cultures influence communication styles.

No you did not attack. Not everyone thought you made a rude post. Please do not feel like you need to apologize for expressing your opinion and asking a very valid question on an open forum. Don't let anyone sway you from that.
We do appreciate Nick for his input. Yes there is frustration. Yes there should be at least one competent person from SC that should have come forward and addressed very valid concerns. This is the reason this thread was started by me. Not as a soapbox for some to vent but a place where Nick can update we players on any changes or share ANY USEFUL information on what, if anything SC is doing to remedy the widespread frustration expressed here.

I didn't think you were attacking anyone either. You never said anything rude or mean. You just asked why those of us who are upset about certain aspects of the game don't treat the employees with anything but niceness.
I have children with Aspergers and we have seen many presentations to try to understand how these kids think. In one of the videos, when his sister fell off a swing, the child with Aspergers asked his mother how he should react when his crying sister came to him. He honestly didn't know. Luckily my kids and I aren't as seriously affected as that child was.
My point is that I took your question as an honest inquiry and tried to explain why our interactions with Nick don't sync with the level of anger that you may have seen posted. We can be angry about the game but still not feel that poor Nick is totally to blaim or that the staff acted with the intention of making us angry. When I contact someone I do business with, my tone and attitude changes depending on how much authority that person has. The owner of the business gets more of my anger than the staff person who is employed by them. Nick is not the owner of Supercell. He is not in charge of the technical aspect of the game. He is paid staff, yes, but it appears that the main part of his job is to act as a liaison between us and the big shots who do have more control of the policies.
You wanted to know why we don't lash out at Nick even if we are angry and upset and I told you. That's just not what we do, plus it is against forum rules, plus it just doesn't work. That's all.

Lol its just a wild guess! remember wen they gave us duck salon along came new fish spots, so guessed it. I see myself n many have decorated in a way that town s filled n no space if any new building comes. If not this, s there anyother way to stop the flow of maps? Then make them to expand farms n fish spots or axe it frm the game n give compensation to players who had it.
Nick:
i have heard ears that the max barn level is 9950, because there is an issue when things hit 10,000. fair point.
however ..... If someone is at the point where they have maxed out their barn and silo, I really doubt that a stupid phonograph decoration is going to motivate them to play the game either. Or for that matter, a sack of five diamonds.
I think many of us are being 'greedy' and looking for a solution and motivation that will benefit 99.99 percent of the players. The .01 of one percent who are maxed out, should be given something else just for being there.
Many of these maxed out players have stopped playing anyway, and instead have beautiful farms that hardly ever change. I enjoy looking at them, but you are not going to find product in their RSS or see them helping in many cases.
there are some exceptions, but for the most part - a lot of the motivation would be gone if I were at that point. Plus, if you have been a long time player ..... Things were a lot easier back then to level up and create bigger barns, than it is today

That’s right. A lot of new products for new/medium players were added lately but the barn size remained the same.
All these new products fill up valuable storage spaces and put so much pressure on us that is almost painful to upgrade your barn (of course without spending diamonds which magically alleviate all your pains).
Players, especially new players have countlessly asked additional storage but it has never happened.
Imh, it would be common sense to give us more storage spaces if new products requiring barn storage are added. But common sense doesn’t always go hand in hand with a lucrative business so I don’t expect a free barn upgrade anytime soon though I would probably love it more than high level players.
Besta is spot on. Just reread this whole thread and still feel a great deal of frustration shown in various ways could have been "managed" by something as simple as a back up person while the key contact is on vacation. Especially when things are going "south" the last thing I want to hear from a business is, "No one else is here who can answer or help you. You'll have to call back in 2 weeks. " In the real world, I make every effort to call back alright....to cancel whatever their service was. So, yes, it's great we all get to go on holiday. But in every job I had, I was *required* to train someone as a back up for at least emergency service. This was not an unreasonable expectation. This game still makes me smile, and it is still such a fun way to spend way too much time. But, come on, SC. Next time our main contact takes a well-deserved break, PLEASE have a backup who at least tells us the forum is still being monitored ...so we don't feel deserted!

That is not true. It's a misunderstanding. You can expand your barn to 10,000 and there won't be any problem.
Maybe not five diamonds, but many players like new decorations, no matter their level. You might have all the coins, XP, diamonds, and vouchers that you need, but you can't use them to get an event decoration.
Also, some of the players who have maxed out their barns did so because of an extreme focus on that aspect of the game. Once they reach max, they start enjoying the things they previously ignored, like boats, trucks, and yes, events and decorations.
