Will you quit bumping up your own thread! I rarely do it, since it is bad form, and against the rules, but I at least wait several days or a week before bumping, rather than every hour or two, or when it falls below the first few pages.

This idea would substantially increase the amount of maxed collectors in the game. If Super Cell was to put an achievement in place to award clashers with gems in turn for upgrading their collectors.

6, level 10 collectors would get 10 gems (First Star)
6, level 11 collectors would get 25 gems (Second Star)
6, level 12 collectors would get 50 gems (Third Star)

The gems could be higher to increase the amount of people that would go for this achievement, but I'm being conservative for Super Cell's sake of gem sales. This update would more than for sure increase the loot available in our below average loot system. The best possible thing to do though is replace the current loot system, seeing that 75% of farmers go after collector bases. Storage raids are uncommon, but still there. However, if you farmed back before the revised the loot system, you know how faulted our loot system has become. This is just a band-aid to put over the big crack known as our loot system.
    I'm stunned! I love it!

And, as a rule, I dislike/distrust any idea that promotes barching.

Good news! I have an idea that is against barching! http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...-Barcher-raids

Have to admit, the idea may work. If I joined the game and had that greet me, I'd likely have done it for the gems. Gems for those Builder's Huts is such a motivator.

I agree more with this idea than any other.

Collector upgrading needs to be incentivized somehow to improve the economy. Upgrading the collectors is always my first priority, after camps, for this express reason. I cant understand people's obstinance and myopia in neglecting the collectors. If everyone prioritized it, then raiding would be more lucrative for everybody. It's not just about your individual resource generation.

But I suppose supercell has to find the golden balance between frustrating loot problems enough for people to gem but not quit.

The game is about building up your own base, not 'charity work' to help other people out with thier own loot problems. A player, unless crazy to some degree, does not what to be looted (aka robbed) of thier resources. As I said before, the time needed to upgrade the many mines or collectors is just not worth for the benefit over the other things that need to be done. I would be fine with level 8-9 resource buildings since they can be left alone for over a day, and generate enough funds for seed money for a raid, if for some reason I totally exhauste my funds the day before.

Before the recent update, I calculated that it will take me 21 days to turn all 12 of my resource builds with all four of my Builders to upgrade to 11. And now, at 5 days per upgrade, there are level 12s! And for what? The daily resource gain from such builder/days spent is a pitiful fraction of what I get for a few hours of looting abandoned bases, or bases left inactive for a day or two with cheap troops.

When one does the numbers, the personal incentive is just not there to incress the level of those buildings. The ONLY reason why I am levelling up my resource buildings now is because I have nothing else to do while waiting for my lab to max out since every other building and wall is done. I predict that I will have all but a few buildings not be level 11, because the lab just has that long to finish up. I had the foresight to leave those resource buildings low level, and have levelling them up as busy work for just such an occasion.

Dang it, quit bumping the thread like that! At least disguise the bump as a legit comment or somewhere.
