Lots of people want more tools for communication and organization for the game. The tools are already here in the forums but it is under-utilized since there is not a clean easy system to bridge the forums and the game.
My suggestion is to create a direct link in the game to the forums. On your clan page in game you can simply connect directly to your clan page in the forums which enables a hotlink.
Taking it a few steps farther, create a true sync where as members join and leave the clan their accounts are attached to the forums and it moves them into the clan group. So all players are managed in a single location. The key would be making players create the forum account.
If the clan is a true sync, they also could sync some clan stats such as war win loss, time in clan, etc.
