Mass dragons raids can fail to 3 star sometimes, ppl only go out with a 1 star cuz the base design is good. Drags R just introduced at th7, and really r expensive for them. at th8, a third air defence comes in and a new LVL 6 AD upgrade, which should prevent a base from getting owned by mass drags even at LVL 3, it would only be a 2 star. Wat u should really worry about R th th6's with their 1
AD that's lvl 4 max, and the loot penalty allowing th7's to attack them
Yes this applies to th6s as well but I'm mainly focusing on clan wars. And yes I know they do not ALWAYS get 3 stars, but if a clan of 20 members who are all th8, they have 40 war attacks. If they all use dragons then only HALF of their attacks need 3stars to achieve a PERFECT clan war total. And I don't think anybody can disagree with the fact that mass dragons at lv3 achieve 3 stars on th8 bases at least half the time. And even so...I reiterate on the economy, loot is very poor right now and dragons in CW are playing a role in keeping it that way.

As someone that used to think you can use dragons on what I call 'tackless'* attacks, and then use them myself, I've ran into a surprising amount of challenges with them... not as a complaint, but as a redeeming value. Taking out some well built bases is like trying to solve a puzzle.. a puzzle of where you have ONLY 10 or 11 matchsticks to see if you can light the whole thing on fire with a set time limit. Seeing a good base is nice. Adds some enjoyment to the game when even one of the most powerful units in the game isn't some broken-unit-of-broken-brokeness win-button, but something that adds another element of strategy to the game.
(*tackless as in require little thought, and is overly simplistic, like tactless barbarian or archer raids of circle the base)
That's a very good way to think of it, problem is that at mid town hall levels it is very difficult to find a challenge with the dragons....just being too over-used in CW in my opinion. Many people that use them will feel differently just as when the hog riders were nerfed. Nobody really liked the change but it made the game better and I think that is what should happen with the dragons.

This really sounds like a lot of crying to me. I hear people complain about mass raids far too often. Claiming it takes no skill or strategy. This is all wrong. There are multiple ways to lose an attack with all drags, and hogs for that fact. If you use spells at the wrong time or in the wrong place you lose. If you don't clear out non defense buildings and make the proper paths for the dragons you lose. You will have them circling the base. If you don't want to get him by dragons in clan wars don't participate in them until your air defenses, archer tower, and wizard towers are complete. But I'm pretty sure when thay day comes you will be complaining about how you keep getting hogged. Stop crying and get over it.
I am not "crying" about the "strategy" being used. It just needs to be used LESS...too often is it used in CW and too often is it harming the CoC economy. I have been defeated by all kinds of Attacks and I enjoy watching a good attack no matter the strategy, but the overuse of the dragons in midlevel clan wars needs to be reduced both for the sake of the elixer circulation which supercell just tried to fix during the holidays as well as making CW more exciting.

If I want to spend 360K elixir on dragons and another 99k on spells obviously I'm not in the war for the loot. It's for the competition. You have this all wrong bud.

The main issue with dragons isn't (just?) the dragons themselves, but those air defense buildings. They are so hyper important in ... air defense (awkward wording from name) that it simplifies things too much. There is no real way to distribute your protection from air attacks with current defenses. When upgrading my one or two air defenses (TH6 & TH7 respectfully), I feel like I might as well just open the window and say 'come raid me any and all flying creatures'. This is why zapping one of them is so effective in taking a base down, since 3 lightning spells takes down a very significant percentage of the base's defenses to air attacks. That's just not seen at 7-9 town hall levels when versus ground defenses. That's something you see much lower in Town Hall levels, where they have one mortar or wizard tower.
It's all in the thighs.... Oh an the strategy so not the greatest idea
Finally have some supporterslol but concerning the loot....you may not be in the war for loot but it's hurting the overall economy not just yours....supercell does those collector boosts when the economy is really tanking
