what business is it of yours what these players do with their money? in this game they're 2 main factors that depends how great you become...(1)those who have time and (2)those who have the money...by no meas are they to be shunned upon because both TIME and MONEY are both valuable just the same...those persons that can afford to gem out their bases and max out their stuff are often those that are business owners or have high positions/commitments in whatever their job entails so they DO NOT have the time that us poorer folk have...

so to reiterate...its either you got the time or u got the money...simple...they are heroes in my eyes cuz just as they probably look at me and think I'm insane for the amount of time I have invested into farming my TH10..its just the same way I look at them and think spending thousands of dollars to be insane as well...don't be a hater OP...I'm happy they are doing what theyre doing to show the enormous appreciation that they have for Supercell's efforts...

I would hate to think that you expect SC to spend millions on R&D, designing and advertising on this game for us to enjoy and not get any returns from their investment. That'd be pretty selfish of you wouldn't it?

What I really love about CoC as compared to other freemium games, this isn't "pay to win".

In other games I've played you can simply purchase tons of the premium currency (called rubies) in order to actually obtain bonus points or win events/fights. This inevitably led to those paying for rubies to always win the best prizes/equipment and further increase disparity between players who didn't purchase rubies and only tried to scrape by with what they counld obtain in the regular gameplay.

I like how one can't buy superior troops (level 7s and 6s) to obliterate any base and win raids and wars easier...

This game is Pay to Win son, dont fool yourself.
The ability to buy gems sucks, I would pay for a version where that isnt possible, just split CoC in 2 versions.

The same troops are available to all. I don't see how its "pay to win" when everyone has access to all of the same troops, buildings, heroes. So they reached a higher level quicker than you did, obviously they are more powerful and will defeat a lower base in a raid. But nothing is exclusive to people who buy tons of gems. Even having tons of trophies doesn't really mean anything, the only prize for guilds is a few gems (probably pennies compared to what they've purchased) so it's not like they earn any sort of advantage.

I didn't vote because none of the options fit.

The gemmers must exist or the game would perish.

Some of them could be from before the profile and have a lot of loot unseen but I personally doubt that it is enough to max the base because so many things have been added since then that cost a ton of loot.

It is true that the league bonus is so good that stats may be low, but I cant see how it would pay for everything.

Having said all of that. I really do not care what they do. I have been to low Champs and even there it is absolutely no fun for me. No matter what base you have you get crushed when you log off. The armies take so long that you have to gem them to get enough raids in while online or make zero progress.

When I play, I want to play. So I train cheap armies and raid every 20-45 minutes. I refuse to stay online for 3 hours and wait for spells and my army so that I can search forever and then find a 2 cup raid. When in Champs you cannot log out while it trains or you will have wasted 5 attack wins.

To me, they are playing a completely different game. Have you ever seen those clans? Hardly any donations or requests. I am not sure if they go in and out so much that they keep getting reset or not. I like clans that stay pretty steady with a membership and have a ton of don/req. I have no interest in being in the clouds and searching for 2 hours either.

Even if I eventually farm my base to max I am not sure I would push up there or join one of those clans. It would be more likely that I would quit the game at that point.

Think of it this way. I enjoy farming and occasionally doing a powerful attack. But those guys at the top ONLY do those powerful kinds of attacks and they have probably only ever done those types. I enjoy my game the way that I play it and I guess they enjoy their game the way that they play it.

If it wasn't for the Gemmers providing riches for sc, this game be dead a long time already. I salute the gemmers!!

Ive looted max resources called at 2 bil. Couldnt tell ya on de but i know over 12mil minimum. Farmed my base to all max except 36 more walls and we had a cup push. Now im at 4116. Personally i think experience pays off more so through gameplay. But up in high champs all you have to know is how to use gowipe gowiwi or a form of hound and loonion raids and youre in good shape.

All that said its more frustrating up here than farming. Id rather farm anyway than sit logged in 6 hours at a time just to manage to gain a total of 10-50 cups and only see 3-10 bases total. Then on top of that turn right around and lose 10-35 cups on d every raid. All a game of sit and wait and hope to find the big cup base every other day to rise another spot in the rankings. One day off you lose a ton

Yep. The top players spend more time than money though. I got to over 4100 and realised it's just a total waste of my time sitting there watching clouds for literally hours hoping a base comes up to attack. The very top players must spend at least 12hrs a day playing this game non-stop. That's more than a normal day of work. It's crazy and unhealthy... I maxed my base completely by farming but once you're maxed the game sucks. Playing for trophies sucks. The battles are fun and exciting but it's the hours of nothing in between that is the worst part of the game. Enjoy it while you max your base because once you're done there's not much else...
