TH8 solution (NOT putting back the lvl8 wall elixir upgrade)

As you know Sc dosent allow people to upgrade their walls to lvl8 with elixir wich causes a big problem mostly for th8s since in th8 elixir lab upgrades finish quickly. Since Th8s have a huge amount of elixir they are often targetted by th9s who want to do their lab upgrades and need lots of elixir for them. Since th8s get attacked they dont only lose their elixir but also their gold which is a huge problem since the difference between gold upgrades and elixir upgrades (not counting walls) is very big. Thus you get raided for 200-300K elixir and consequently you lose a lot of gold.

On the other hand sc cant allow players to upgrade their walls with elixir otherwise there wouldnt be enough loot available for raids.
So here is my solution to this problem: allow th8 players to upgrade their walls to lvl9
-they would be able to actually use their elxiir
-there would still be enough loot in the game since most players would keep around 400-900K in their storages
-th8 defence wouldnt really be affected that much (most players attack with balloons, farming stategies wich attack the outside of the base and sometimes giant-healer wich dosent work half of the time)
so yeah, thats my solution to this problem, i hope you like it, feel free to give me your feedback

Or they could just leave th8 alone like they had before elixir walls was even implemented no one complained about loot overload before the elixir walls so why should they complain now they have the exact same problem as every other th8 before elixir walls so what makes the new th8s so different that they complain over the smallest things!

Why should TH9's get two sets of wall upgrades? And very expensive ones, by the way. A wall costs 8 times more to upgrade at TH9 than TH8?

It's 0.5M to get from L7 to L8, but a further 4M to get from L8 to L10.

And TH9 already unlocks so much stuff. 20 levels of the BK, the AQ and 30 full levels for her, the X-Bows, etc. I've heard a lot of people complain that TH8 isn't much fun, compared to TH7 or TH9. So why not?

Yes, it would allow TH8's to dump elixir. But only the super dedicated TH8's, that bother to max their walls, would do it. The players who don't max their walls, would have a mix of L7 and L9 walls, assuming they upgrade to L8 with gold and L9 with excess elixir. I can live with that. Being able to dump all but the last 1M elixir is a better compromise than letting them dump all but the last 500k elixir.

BTW, I'm personally in favor of making L9 walls gold-only, and not letting players dump elixir until buying L10 walls. But this looks like a very close second place option to me.

th8 is where upgrades start getting actually expensive, and having 3 million elixir kind of attrackts TH9s, so one way or another TH8s have to get rid of their elixir (without getting raided) to start upgrading their buildings. You seem to be suggesting to ingnore the problem because you estimate it isnt important, i think this problem needs to be solved.

I think a lot of you miss the point this game is about STEALING and BUILDING...like seriously you think that those town hall 9s didn't have the same problem you're having? why not put your elixir outside if you don't need it anymore..that's what I did when i was done with elixir then you keep gold cause most of the time they left the attack after they sniped your town hall and took some elixir. If you're really done with elixir I don't see a problem with just putting your storages outside and turning your base into fort knox...unless you just like staring at full storages..

1. I dont think Th9s are having the same problem since they can just dump their elixir on their walls.
2. I did try putting my elixir and th outside but people try to get all the rest as well

By the time u max UR elixir, u could max most of ur defences, and just be left with walls.

no usually you still have teslas and archer towers since you can upgrade those twice and they cost 2-3 million for each upgrade

I still don't see the problem here....it's not like you can't simply go get more just raid and upgrade that's the honest truth to your problem. you're not going to get level 9 walls at town hall 8 and if you can't accept the fact that people are going to raid you for your resources then I don't know what to tell you...

What may not have occurred to you is that the current situation provides an incentive for folks to upgrade to TH9, which is good for folks who are TH10.
