Question Please point me in the right direction

I have searched and searched and can't find the thread(s) about possibly being able to ban/block trolls from clans. I don't want to start a new thread about it because I'm sure it already exists somewhere. My son's clan (he is the leader) was infiltrated by a troll and I'm trying to find out if this will ever be an option. I reported him but not sure how that works. We will change his Clan to invite only to help for now. Another issue that may already have a thread is the ability of a leader to delete posts from the clan chat. The troll kicked out a clan member and posted lots of vulgar language and insults in the clan thread then went to global to brag about it. This kind of stuff needs to be dealt with! I don't want my son, or his clan mates, seeing that stuff every time they look in clan chat. One of his clan rules is no foul language, people who join are looking for the same thing. And lastly, one of his best players (his co-leader) got kicked out on accident because his name is almost exactly the same as the troll. My son is very upset and hoping he comes back. He sent an invitation and time will tell. With that being said I'd also like to know if there will be a feature to send private messages individually to other players whether they are in your clan or not. If there are existing threads on any of these issues please just post links to them here. If not I'll be glad to start a thread on any or all of them. I did look at the already ruled out ideas and didn't see any of these there. Thanks for any help.

It has been requested before, some ways to get rid of trolls are as follows:

    1. Clan to Invite Only

2.Dont promote random people to coleader

    3. Don't promote random people to elder

    hope this helps

Agreed. Also, about the private messages. Similar ideas have been ruled out at this link: http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...rum-guidelines

So, at this point in time a different way to contact clan members by text, email, website, etc. is recommended.

    Welcome to the forums!

Yea there will always be trolls, I have noticed that more trolls go to smaller/new clans for prey more then the established clans. So hopefully it will stop in time. Above is all you can really do. But a lot of clans in the description say don't ask for elder/Co or kick.
Yea if a lv 60 or lv 80 or higher says ill join for co leader probably best for your clan mates if you said,"Nope but were giving away free member atm."

    Hope this doesn't happen again

Thanks. We'll make the adjustments needed. Hopefully there will be a block option at some point so he can allow anyone to join again. I asked in global why he was doing that and he said just for fun. These people should not be allowed to play.

I looked on that list and can't find anything about the three issues I mentioned. Maybe I'm just not seeing it or it's worded in a way I don't realize it's the same.

We can't contact the guy that was accidentally kicked out any other way because we don't know him. We only know him from the game. He was the first one to join the clan after we waited a couple weeks for someone to join. As they talked and he donated and others joined he earned our trust. I really hope we can get him back.

I actually think that if they say they need a rank awarded just for showing up you pass on them completely. They are showing a way of thinking that you already know is not going to work out so why have them even pass through your clan at all not even as member.

Yeah, good point rwelshjr. I told him not to promote people if they ask and I never let him promote to co-leader except for the guy we lost and his brother. We had to demote his brother because he kicked someone out without asking or knowing what he was doing. My brother, his uncle, is in his clan and said don't promote me I have no idea what I'm doing. LOL
We didn't know that elders had that much power, he does now and I'll continue to keep an eye on it for him. We'll be sure his Clan info says something about not asking to be promoted.

these are all must do items agreed.

I would still love to have a ban permanently option though because there are guys out there (disturbed ones to be sure) that make it their mission to keep coming back and after a while you get sick of hearing their pleas and hitting reject yet again. That only buys you 24 hours of peace.

Plus we had one guy that went for weeks (over 2 months) coming back every day missing not a one to use the request to rant at us. We had kicked him for never donating and telling a co what to do to himself when it was mentioned plus already there have been a couple warnings about over the top vulgarity in the feed. This flipped him out and it was his mission to harass us for that. the first few days were pleas, which we rejected, then they turned to threats if we did not let him back in, then threats to various members of the clan, all very vulgar and dark (this kid had issues to even think of the stuff he was saying) and he liked to threaten the small kids in the clan the most because he knew that's who we wanted to protect. He knew he wasn't going to get accepted but didn't care. The request were just giving him that many characters of nastiness a day that he could put in out feed. and as mentioned he kept this up every day for a very long time so great was his rage at us parting ways with him. (who is now feeling bad for the girl that ever breaks up with him) We did take a lot of screen prints, small library, and sent it to SC on many occasions but nothing ever happened. We know he never got suspended because every day he was still there to lay another tirade. Eventually he ran down. By the third month he would miss a day here and there and now a year later he last showed up about 4 weeks ago so I guess we are not off his list completely but its down to a monthly visit.

Anyhow, that is a case where I would love to have been able to just cut off his ability to even send us requests.

Wow, that's terrible. They should most definitely find a way to remedy that and soon. Kids are playing this game to have fun and learn teamwork and strategy, etc. I can teach my sons about bad people and prepare them for "trolls" in the world, they shouldn't have to put up with it by being harassed in a game.

Anyone by chance see anything or know anything about the ability to delete the troll's posts from our clan chat?
