why do people talk ♥♥♥♥ about their enemy ON DESCRIPTION ???

We've done it ..all in good humor though. Most clans do it back and cause of it, we have visited eachothers clans after the war just to talk about what happened ...its actually kinda funny to hear what actually went on, on the other side.
The actual problem is the people who are easily offended ....I'm surprised as to how many "adult/mature" players I'm finding on these forums complaining about things they should be able to handle/ignore.

I don't think they are so much 'easily offended' as they WANT to be offended. They want something to make hay about for their own ends so they are looking to find trouble in anything that is said. Unfortunately those of us that just want some good spirited smack talk have to be careful.

This is what we have had up for about 2 months. Not targeted at any clan. Just having fun. Hopefully it is tame enough no one can use it to get us in trouble.

I can't speak for all adults on here, but as an adult and a parent, I don't like to see children exposed to some of the garbage that some think is a part of normal, healthy competition. I don't know where people got the idea that trash talk is acceptable - it's not. Take a look at any professional sport where adults play and you'll see a whole host of rules that govern unsportsmanlike conduct. These are professional, adult athletes at the pinnacle of their careers and they will be fined or suspended if they pulled any of the kinds of stunts some players think are acceptable in a family-friendly game. Part of being an adult is acting like an adult and accepting responsibility for your actions.

firstly, those are professions... last time i checked war clans werent getting paid to clash actually the opposite, we pay to clash.... for that and other reason Sports =/= Clash.
not gonna even touch on the NFL one, i think we all know those athletes generally act that way for the money, and often lead very crazy lives when not on the spotlight, i can link you to some stories if u havent heard about the NFL players.

now Clash may be family friendly, but the whole construct of online isn't. People are gonna be people, and if you can't get behind that, maybe not allow your kids to go online or have unmonitored time to go online until they reach an age that u deem appropriate for them to handle life.

Yeah, that was clearly my point. It definitely wasn't to cite examples of adult games where trash-talking is prohibited.

The thing is, I don't really need to prove my point or backup my opinion. Supercell already does that for me. Continue to trash talk in your clan descriptions. The community can use the extra resources while you get put in time out.

This isn't a "professional sport" ....that being said, "trash talk" does happen within "professional sports". As a parent it is your responsibility to teach your child how to turn away if bothered by this ...its not ours. Btw ....have you heard of FaceBook?...most kids have that...that's where you should be focusing your attention if you're worried about "trash talking". Another thing ...whatever happen to that saying "sticks and stones may brake my bones but words will never hurt me"? (yup, i went there) ....we cant let ourselves be so easily bothered/offended by words ....they're just one persons opinion. so what.

Didnt read through all that. Did those guys cuss in their clan descrip? Or just small trash talk? Would something as minor as "better luck next time" qualify as trash talking and get all the coleaders banned?

Who knows. Maybe a guy thinks its a dig about how his wife just left him and now he is freaking out. The guys that get worked about this stuff make no sense at all so yeah it can get that crazy.

As as for being adults... And protecting the kids i agree kids should not be exposed to thrash talking. But, when you play a game like this or any online game you could expose your children to anything, therefore it falls on you as a parent. If you are so worried about it...don't let your kids play games like this!

I played college ball and my trash talking there was indeed aggressive and nasty. Way beyond any of the tame (by comparison) thresholds I seem here in COC. But I was getting the same back from the other guys too. And yeah, we then talked with our pads after that. Then ran our yaps, then hit each other again. etc....

But football you are trying to get into another persons head and make them feel intimidated for any way you can undermine their will. So COC is not quite the same environment.

Dont get me wrong, you'll never hear me curse/trash talk in front of children but with this game you truely dont know who is who. Kids will lie about they're age and trash talk like there's no tomorrow. Any monitoring should come from parents.

Agree ♥♥♥♥♥ CoC trash talking is in no comparison to real sports.

I just think it's lame my clanies and I got banned for something totally ridiculous...
