    Good solution for disconnect issue during war battles and maybe solve ghosting....

    I have been in war a couple times and have had the connection lost. When I get back on, I only have 1 battle left or none, if it was my second battle.

    I think that if you loose connection during a battle. the battle should be frozen for 30 - 45 seconds. When the player gets back on-line, he can go in the war map and hit continue. If he does not get back on within 45 seconds, then whatever was done in the battle is where it ends. This could also eliminate the ghosting... Once the connection is dropped, they have 45 seconds to get logged back in to continue the battle, or it is over at the point of disconnect.

    Just my thought.

    may be the battle should forfeit and the thing that would happen after wards is that you never attacked at all

    This would make me SOOO happy!

    I never like to see a wasted oppertunity, and this happens a lot to me. I'm doing well, about to drop my last squad of barchers for the storage raid, then BAM! Disconnected, 37%, loss and no loot. If i want to quit, i'll leave it, but i would really like the ability to finish what i started.

    On the subject of if the enemy logging back on to see live replay comes up, what's so hard about saying "please wait for attackers connection, 45 seconds remaining"? I do not like the mulligan, I attacked for a reason, and i'll get back on as soon as I can.

    The problem with this is that people will ghost. This is already possible if you have a horrible Internet or something, but people will "attack", disconnect and keep attacking.

    Thats why Mjbehnke's idea works. Most other disconnect ideas make ghosting easier, but this one doesn't really make it harder or easier.

    So I suggest that when a player disconnects, the server waits 30-45seconds pretending that the player started the battle without placing any troops. If the player comes back online, then the client and server will be out of sync. When that happens, the server should pretend the attack never happened based on prior inactive battling.
    This means that if someone ghosts, they will be too late and they will finish the battle at 0% without knowing it. If a person is truly disconnected, they have 45seconds and if they get back on, the attack is cancelled and they can try again.

    Feedback welcomed.

    exploit : people will disconnect after seeing the defences(teslas, bombs, cc troops) and then attack again. ;-)

    Fix: This feature will only apply if no hidden things have been revealed.

    However, that means that this feature is pretty useless and needs a lot of exceptions to work.. So scratch that

    if i were a programmer and mayb if i was a genious i would suggest to save village cache while attacking for 3 min. so when war attack started it will b completed wether net is available or not and will sync back with game once its over :-D
    the only problem is exploiting this by crackers and hckers. and as i m not a programmer so i don't know how much that will cause hcking the game. that is why u forget i suggested it :-D

    So you're saying that the the game should save what the village before attack and then after 3 min check with the client (player) and see the results and apply it?

    This pretty much works to solve the disconnect issue, but it has 3 problems.

    1)people finsih their attacks in less than 3 min. Either this sends a push message to the server to sync results or people wait the extra minutes and then see their stars pop up. The latter would release a myriad of people complaining

    2)people still can ghost. If they see the teslas and bombs, te server will still assume they didn't attack if they have no response

    3)the server will have to be intentionally out of sync. Thus, they might have to compromise the "error, out of sync, reload" message elsewhere to implement this.

    Im not so sure if I intrpreted your suggestion correctly.

    Im not so sure if I intrpreted your suggestion correctly.
    That is why i never tried to suggest it bcaz i m a less than newbie at programming and stuff. and i rarely (very very rarely) ever disconnected from the game while attacking. infact it only happened once. so the more simpler way is to get a good ISP :-P

    If only there was such a thing as good ISP. Developing countries(some) have no good ISP lol. No offense. But it has happened to me 5 times in around 40 wars. Sure its not frequent. But it hurts bad. Worse than losing:/

    And ya I didn't suggest anything as I don't have Any great idea.

    But 1 thing I could add is, maybe give a pop up message as soon as the connection disconnects and then give 1 min(or some number of seconds) to player to load and he should get the attack screen right away without able to do anything else and continue from where it was left?
