Hi. I'm only an early TH9 (3 weeks) with level 7 queen and level 10 king. I was planning to max all structures including heroes (level 30).. But the hero upgrade time starting from level 15 (i think) will be 7 days. Will it be wise if I buy gems and gem the time... or am I going to miss out the excitement of the game? ~Thanks!

If you have the money and nothing else to spend it on then go for it. Only experience you would miss out on is knowing what its like to play w/o heroes, which is an experience I would gladly give up if I could. I personally wouldn't do it because I see it as a waste of money.

Yes, it is, but for AQ only. I gemmed my AQ's upgrade time starting from lvl 13 or 14, I think.

Apart from boosting and builders, using gems for hero upgrade time is definitely the next best use of gems.
However, it also costs a ton to do so, and at 1k gems per hero upgrade level you are spending about US$7 per level to gem time, or about $105 to get 1 hero from level 15 to level 30.

I am considering this or gemming the research times, I can't decide though.
Not really, I'm only a college student and I'm just saving my money for somethings in the future.. Spending gems for the game is something for myself and for my hobby.
