This update will only affect wallets of some players, and not gemmers will drop their jaws from the prices of new upgrades

1000 gems is nothing really, he probably spends those in a few hours rushing troops/spells/hero heals. A new TH will likely take around 75k-100k gems to fully max if you gem all the resources and time, and that might even be a conservative estimate.
