Can't revenge, glitch?

Ok I have been playing a good while now and understand the game and how it works.

I was just attacked by a person who stole 1.7k dark from me. So, he's GONNA get revenged. His base is ripe for a hoggin with full DE storage and IMA LEVEL IT.

SO, I am standing on the revenge button, 5 clicks a second lol. He is online, I get it, well it goes from him being online to him being attacked in a split second.

That is odd, but it could be a fluke, it happens. I try a second time as he comes back online shortly after, same thing! online, online, online, being attacked...

What could this be? Anyone seen this before?

what league are you in?
There is a slight delay from when someone is available to be raided to when they can be revenged. This means he can be found through nexts and raided before you get a chance.

This account is Gold II right now. I figured there may be a buffer time, but it seemed very odd that it happened so fast 2 times in a row.

ETA: and the same thing just happened again for the 3rd time.
