Why remove the use of elixir to upgrade walls to level 7&8 ? (1)This makes it more difficult for us to catch up with other players that have started since they had this before and they used it,making it unfair(2) WEAK WALLS: weak walls make us weak against enemy attacks and thereby reducing our trophies which in turn makes it difficult for us to get better trophies to win the top clan rewards, making it a competition among 150 people for gems, (3) WASTE OF TIME: the time spent in upgrading these walls is wasted time compared to the time used if we were able to use both gold and elixir.
(4)LOSS OF ELIXIR: If all builders are busy for long period of time and also elixir storage is full,wih you having weak walls, stronger people can attack and steal much elixir you worked hard to get.
Please I believe SUPERCELL can amend this.Re-consider your decision,Thanks.

Because elixir walls meant that there was a lack of elixir for the higher town halls to raid, and therefore made some upgrades impossible for them.

Supercell arent going to bring them back so deal with it. Level 7 and 8 walls aren't even that hard. Don't like it? Quit and leave your storages outside your base. Thankyou

Elixir for walls should be restricted to level 10 walls and higher.

By that logic the game is unfair on anyone whose been playing a while...

We now get double fee number of free gems than we used to, and gem boxes on top of that.
Most structure and troop upgrades are now far cheaper than they have been previously (TH upgrade price once halved while my TH was upgrading, at the time i was pretty dark about it)
TH7's once had to slave away to get DE now they get a drill
TH8's used to struggle to save DE now they get n extra pump

There have been so many changes throughout the life of Clash of Clans, mostly in the name of balancing or because of new structure of troop levels... This is NOT unfair it's just life!

Thanks, I get it now...The game is not diificult for me, not at all, I asked a question "why is it so?" I did not ask for comments on how the game is to me, If you have no reasonable answers,keep your thoughts to yourself, And THANKS to those that answered my question.

Fyi, I maxed lavas with mainly gold.
Level 7 and 8 are a breeze, stop complaining about them.
