Never mind. Go read SkyMage1001's comment on Page 2
NOTE: This thread is not linking to any pieces of software that allows emulating as this is a risky issue. I am fine discussing how it works but not how to run it or to use it.
Skip to the bottom if you're lazy
Most of us know that running COC in an Android phone emulator is against the, Terms of Service (even the mods say so!), but is it?
This is the part of the Terms of Service which most of us link to
I've boldened the parts we focus on when talking about this.Use ♥♥♥♥♥s, exploits, automation software, bots, ♥♥♥♥s, mods or any unauthorized third-party software designed to modify or interfere with the Service, any Supercell Game or any Supercell game experience or without Supercell’s express written consent, modify or cause to be modified any files that are a part of the Service or any Supercell game.
Now lets break it down
What this means is any type of app or program that is made to interfere or modify with the Clash of Clans service/game.unauthorized third-party software designed to modify or interfere with the Service
Basically means modifying the files of the app it self.modify or cause to be modified any files that are a part of the Service or any Supercell game.
Now here's where I saw a problem with the "TOS argument".
Most Android emulators work by emulating Android which itself is a emulatable OS. This does NOT involve modifying the code in any way what so ever. The code of the game runs as if it was on a Android phone/tablet.
That invalidates the two arguments in the TOS that people usually make reference to when responding to PC emulation posts.
Neither is the game more exploitable when on a PC emulator which isn't violating the TOS already. You can access the game files if you want on regular Android too. Bots can easily be installed on mobile devices as easily as PC's.
Now I do see where Supercell is coming from when the mods prohibit people from using emulators. In the past, multiple issues have come up when people have had messages asking them to replace their village with someone elses' when playing on PC. This is due to people downloading a contaminated APK file that already had some other players info on it and not the fault of the emulator itself.
THE POINT OF MY RAMBLINGS
From my point of view, there is no actual part in the TOS with the rule of "no Android emulators", So I want the moderators to clarify to us what they actually say about the use of emulators and if they can add a clear point in the TOS about it if they want it there.
