Ability to opt-in or out of clan wars.

During the holidays, we noticed some of our members were not available to participate in war. That sucked and we just kicked them for a bit, but still sucked. We would like to request ability for clan members to "opt-out" of clan wars which would take them out of the wars and then opt back in when they're ready to go. Also, for elders+ to change a clan members status, so if someone gets hit by a bus and is in a medically induced coma, we don't have to boot them for war issues. Should also be more details like + or - 4 hours for changes after someone opts in or out. Maybe less. Good idea?

So you're saying there aren't hundreds of see who is online threads? How exactly do you think it made it to the list of ruled out ideas?

It's edited far more frequently than that.

Your suggestions do make a difference!
The developers and moderators read every idea thread. These ideas are discussed and reported frequently within the staff and moderator circle. Some are interesting enough to be added to short-term to-do lists, some to long-term lists, some simply monitored to see if it fits a direction they want to go, and some are ruled out due to negatives overriding the positives or if they don't fit in the direction they want (or secretly can't say) the game is headed. YOUR direct input has led to numerous in-game changes such as:

I also don't care AND I did do my homework. I read the "shot down ideas" and "suggested ideas" and didn't find this one - perhaps I missed it, but I also searched... So I'm just sayin, let's do this- it makes a lot of sense. Don't be such a negative nancy...

If you had done your homework and read the other threads about this your post would address the concerns raised in the other threads. This is the ideas sub-forum, so at least come up with ideas instead of reading a thread and simply making another without any new content
