Crystal I bases in Champion search pool?

I'm currently in low champ (around 3250) and today I've been seeing Crystal I bases multiple times while searching for a base to attack. Obviously all of them only offer 1 trophy but I've never seen Crystal bases in the search pool before as a Champion. If I remember correctly it only goes as low as Master III. Have any champ out there notice this? Not sure if I missed the memo or something.

Crystal I and Master II are close together (only 2 sub league apart) and is quite normal. The gap between Champion and Crystal I though is huge. We are talking about 2000 VS 3200 here, and to my experience, didn't happen before.

LOL! Yes theres been loads of threads recently about this kind of matchmaking, more similar to mid-champion, but in C1 up.
Either there was some kind of screw up, or, the sheer volume of activity with the boosts is creating the same kind of scarcity of available bases that you usually get in champs. Hence, the similar matchmaking.

Yes I do agree, that is bad. I have also seen gold III people at 2500 trophies (1100 difference). Maybe Supercell should do something about it!

Crystal 1 seems to be somewhat bugged, since I could find people from gold leagues and only get 1 trophy for a win. Seems it works the other way too, champs finding people from Crystal 1.

I'm guessing the 1 gem boost somehow messed up the queue when everyone and their mother is constantly attacking and shielding villages?

That would be my guess too. Just wanna hear if other people experience this as well.

Have yet to see any C1 players from low Champs, but a lot of M3 matchups this morning.

Crystal 1 is 2400-2599
