I do like the idea of improving the communication of attacks in clan wars. However, there is a website called clash caller, my clan uses it (I'm not leader). You just have to fill in some information, clan names and member count and it will give you an id. Then you can share it in a clan email and they can access the page and be able to call war bases. Note that in order to join the war page you must be in google chrome, I think. Still, it would nice to eliminate third parties and just have the base calling done within clash of clans.

This would be PERFECT if it was incorporated into the game itself. Thanks for sharing! We might try this out in our clan.

If I am #20 on the map, that logic says I should attack #20 on the enemy map. But maybe #20 on the enemy map has really strong air defenses that are hard to get to which means my giants healer combo attack would not work as well and probably result in 1 maybe 2 stars. But by doing some scouting, I determine that I could easily 3* the enemy's #16 because the air defenses are much weaker and placed in an easy location to take out, making my giants / healer combo attack much more effective and much more likely to get 3*. But, if #16 our my team takes out their #16, now I'm stuck attacking #20 who I'm not sure I can get the most stars on.

Instead in this situation, my teams #16 should look at using their stronger attack against a base that I cannot attack as well (like maybe the enemy's #20). This leaves their #16 open for me to get 3* and still leaves our #16 to use their stronger attack on another base. The end result would be more stars (assuming our #16 also attacks a base they know they can get 3 stars on).

Planning out a strategy like this is almost impossible without proper communication which cannot be effective by using just the clan chat. My clan has been talking about this a lot and found a solution like I described could help bring a much more strategic approach to the clan wars.

Obviously this is just an example situation, but hopefully it demonstrates my position or thought process.
That very issue is why when I suggested something noticeably different with 'attack same # base'. It was same number enemy base was reserved for same number member base, UNTIL AFTER thier first attack (until a point where 6-8 hours left, and then no reserves). This makes it easy to see if the base is reserved, since all you have to do is check the clan mate's base with the same number, and see if they made thier first attack. This difference allows for people to give up thier reserved base, trade on clan channel chat, or if they failed, others can try, but there is always a chance to get access to a base at your level. If you cannot 3 star it, wait until an opportunity to attack another base opens up, or trade, etc. Your first attack elsewhere will 'free up' your same # base for others (even though others can disobey the reservation and attack anyway).

After I suggested this in simpler terms, due to clan mail limits and channel limits, a Co leader said you HAD to attack same # base, and people obeyed... and got a lot of 2 star wins.

I like the flagging system, but instead of the username there should be the base number. It'd look better on a small flag (for those with giant names), and if you have multiple people with the same name it won't cause an issue.

But very nice idea, and I'd love to see it happen.

That would work well. I could see there being an issue of keeping everyone on the same page though and following the same thought logic. Especially since there can be turnover in clans as well.

I think this system I have displayed would make this process simpler overall. Especially not everyone is online at the same time which makes it hard to catch the right ppl at the right time in the chat.

Agree 100%. I empathize with others who are also dealing with this. My post is, "Please Please Please Add a Booking/Reservation System for Clan Wars". Idea is same/similar: add a, "book" button right next to the, "scout" button. This will give a minimal, but powerful indicator... Especially since clan chat scrolls out man iMessage over the 24 hour period.

Other posts I saw: "calling opponents in clan wars", "assign members to enemy bases".

I'm ahead of you on that. Been wanting a 'dibs'/notice/note system for a while now, and suggested it before. I should do some pictures on my ideas. Seems to get the message across much better than just text.

Someone else also posted this in the comments and I have never seen it before. This is a really cool tool! I do think it would be much better utilized if it was built into the game instead of being an external website. With it not being in the game, the likely hood of everyone in the clan participating in it would go down significantly and reduce it's effectiveness.
