    Solution to War hoppers

I've noticed quite a few ppl complaining about war hoppers. To be specific you start a war and they leave at some point during it causing your clan to be down two attacks.

Problem: War hoppers lead to clans being at a disadvantage in war

Solution: Here's the simple fix. New members cannot partake in war. When you first join a clan you are new for a few days. My solution is that while you are new you cannot be in war with that clan. New members tend to be unloyal and leave during war. If they've stayed long enough to not be new then the likelyhood of them leaving during a war is decreased significantly. If promoted to elder/co then a new member is eligible to be in war.

    Pros
    Less war hoppers

    Cons
    None atm

If you have any feedback or pros/cons for this idea reply below

its a good (I think the best) solution and I urge clan leaders everywhere to adopt this into their clan policy. (But not for SC to make it mandatory by having the system force it)

There's currently no way for leaders to determine which clan members are included in the war roster, how would they adopt this policy?

You have to kick them while war is declared then invite them back. Yes, I do understand that is a horrible solution but it is all there is at the moment. the good news is that if they come back on the invite you did just test them even better than if there was a way to opt them in/out. (Because anyone that sticks around after that must seriously want to be in your clan)

There are a lot of people that badly want them to add an opt in/out feature not just for this but for many other reasons. To be fair there is a small group of people that adamantly don't want it and the arguments have been fierce to a point where they are even funny. (I can attest, I have been I the middle of many).

Here are just three of those threads on this. There are actually several dozen if you go looking for them but these are the three most recent. You will see on each of them at some point where I have posted my own vision for how that feature would work. I think you would see how it would resolve your issue and possibly help you with many other clan management issues.

I've seen them, or plenty others like them. Guess I was hoping you would pull out a novel new idea.

Sorry, Nope. I think that is the solution you need though. And then to use it for holding them out.

I would gladly accept this idea, as long as promoting someone to elder gets rid of the "new" thing. Throughout my CoC experience, I know that that "new" thing can last quite some time and that it doesn't magically disappear if you promote them (it's still there if you demote them). This way, clans that are selective and have people that leave in and out for other legitamate reasons can still war normally without this poking in while other clans can be safe from war hoppers.
Logic is cold ............... Embrace it.

    Choosing people in war

A better solution to this is the more common idea of being able to pick who you want in the war.
